Our Student Brand Managers (SBMs) are responsible for building a local face of our global Red Bull brand on their respective university campus.
They bring the brand to life by implementing the Red Bull marketing mix and increasing product availability and distribution on their campus.
Their main objective is to integrate Red Bull into the student lifestyle through the planning and execution of marketing activities, initiatives and projects that are targeted towards university students.
In 1987, Red Bull not only launched a completely new product, it created and has led ever since a whole new product category, Energy Drinks.

Represents Red Bull at their university by living and breathing the Red Bull personality traits and company values.
Spots trends and identifies opportunities to integrate the brand by conducting campus research
Develops and executes targeted sales and marketing plans to meet the needs of students at their campus
Collaborates with Off & On Premise Sales to maximize sales and distribution on and around campus
Establishes and maintains relationships whilst supporting key university bodies and individuals, including key opinion leaders on campus to keep the brand desirable
Drives trial, known as seeding the product (in an undercover way) through key moments of need and develop new usage situations for Red Bull by demonstrating the efficacy of the product.
Leverages relevant World of Red Bull assets on campus
Ensures a positive and credible Red Bull brand image is delivered amongst the student community by continually activating creative, innovative and daring initiatives (including social tactics)
Maintains a dynamic mix of projects, activities and event involvement always with social and digital media at the heart of what we do.
Continually seeks opportunities to develop Red Bull’s brand profile, image and credibility on and around campus within the student market with an entrepreneurial approach
Creates, maintains and grows the strongest brand on university campuses that students are passionate about and can relate to
Contributes to the infusion of Red Bull into student life - a lifestyle choice’ to be continued post university
Drives the entrepreneurial, innovative and creative implementation of Red Bulls’ marketing mix on campus
Completes the communication and reporting tasks associated with the SBM role in a timely manner and with accuracy.
