Resource Manager supports the business in order to identify the rightperson, at the right time, in the right place to ensure our people, teams and clients,successful.
The position supports the engagement scheduling / resourceassignment process for Financial Services Office ( FSO ) in United States forthe three service lines, ie Assurance, Advisory and Tax.
You will be responsible to match resource needs with availability whiletaking into consideration skills required, personal preferences of individuals,and the overall engagement risk.
This entails coordination with other resourcemanagers and client service leaders to balance workloads and address staffingneeds as required.
Key Responsibilities :
Assign appropriateclient service personnel to engagements, by accessing information presented,reviewing options available and presenting recommendations.
Challenge hours andpersonnel scheduled as appropriate to make sure of efficient utilization ofresources.
Resolve conflictswith engagement team members to identify appropriate alternatives in a timelymanner considering engagement requirements and developmental goals of staffsupported.
Reassignprojects to adapt to changes in headcount, and / or to meet varying clientdemands.
Buildrelationships and communicate continuously with client serving personnel toidentify personal schedule preferences and / or career development issues.
Focus onengagement needs while balancing the preferences of the individual.
Proactivelyidentifies and addresses scheduling issues (i.e. excessively high / lowutilization, performance issues, and staff / engagement / client issues).
Fill open needs asidentified; proactively investigate projects that may be able to release individualsto meet requirements.
Monitor unassignedresources, and act as primary point of contact for unassigned staff.
Teaming with the USFSO Talent and Recruiting teams to monitor headcount needs, start dates, resignations,transfers, as well as to identify and escalate performance issues and moraleconcerns.
Review actual andprojected utilization, anticipate availability and proactively take action to decreaseunassigned time while balancing the workload of all client-
Use schedulingtools and put together reports in order to forecast hours, track actualutilization and monitor total headcount.
Flag and raise issues identifiedto Resource Management leadership.
Appropriatelyprioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, required skill sets,timing constraints, staffing continuity and geographic considerations
Negotiate withclient serving teams to shift time or create individual availability in orderto meet staffing priorities.
To qualify, candidates must have :
Aminimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role or in the client servingpractice.
Strong BusinessEnglish language.
Ability to workindependently, while working collaboratively with team members globally.
Solid analyticalskills detail, developed attention to detail and focus on data integrity. Possesscritical / strategic thinking.
Proficient atnegotiations skills and conflict management. Be solution oriented with strongproblem solving skills.
Strong clientservice focus; responsive to request and capable of maintaining a sense ofurgency in resolving issues.
Flexible inadapting to constantly changing priorities.
Ability tocoordinate multiple tasks; strong organizational skills, able to work inautonomous way and to set priorities as appropriate.
Proficient inMicrosoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
