While we are employed by Payless ShoeSource, we are focused exclusively on the Aerosoles brand.
We are looking for an Account Executive who is well versed in working with key digital players to help grow our sizeable direct to consumer business.
This person will have 5-10 years of hands-on experience working with accounts including, Amazon, Zappos, Shoes.com, and brick and mortar players with strong digital presence.
The successful candidate has a strong understanding of these digital platforms, merchandising, strategic planning and retail financials with a focus on OTB, an eye for product and excellent communication skills.
Strong track record of driving sales profitably a must. Prior retail and wholesale experience is necessary to be successful.
A strong understanding of how to market via all digital platforms will be helpful.
The Account Executive will be joining a lean team and will be responsible for driving forward and managing many aspects of the strategic process.
Drive sales and profitability internally and externally by delivering the right product at the optimal time while maximizing selling price in on-line channels.
Establish relationships with buyers and work closely to grow the business together.
Analyze the business to determine what the right assortment of product is to delivery to each customer at the style, class and size level.
Communicate needs of each customer to merchandising based on the product life cycle calendar so that we can secure the best product to meet customer’s needs.
Manage all promotions in-season in partnership with buyers to sell through product at profitable levels.
Manage OTB to maximize sales and meet all seasonal inventory, receipt and margin plans.
Identify opportunities and challenges and recommend appropriate action in a timely manner to strategize with management
Enhance branding where applicable through marketing opportunities : in-store signage, in-store events, web blasts.
Develop and negotiate seasonal plans for sales, receipts and margin.
Analyze customer selling reports on a weekly basis reporting key item performance, classification sales, weekly promotions and competitive analysis.
Sell in available inventory, test best sellers from other accounts to learn for future big items and address poor performers in a timely manner.
Manage order flow with Customer Service team.
Ensure timely deliveries and efficient operational flow; PO process, account specific requirements, daily / weekly communication to avoid issues.
Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure that all websites are updated timely, promotions are planned effectively and cooperative advertising spend is brand enhancing.
Bachelor’s Degree, +10 years relevant experience in footwear industry.
Experience with major digitally native accounts imperative including; Amazon, Zappos, 6 PM, Shoes.com
Well-versed on Amazon.com Vendor Central (i.e. FAP & NIS templates, item setups and item maintenance) and Zapporo
Strong analytical skills and command of retail math a requirement.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, communicate clearly, work across divisions and have a sense of urgency.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word, and have an understanding of retail math.
Some travel and packing / carrying sample cases required.
