The Manager of Accounting- LATAM is responsible for day-to-day preparation, oversight and supervision of the Accounting operations for WeWork’s operations in Latin America.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Oversee company’s ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with general accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage month-end close and preparation of financial statements.
Prepare and Develop monthly operating expense accruals.
Ensure accuracy of the company’s accounts by developing and maintaining reconciliation schedules, month end closing binder, finance metrics and researching variances.
Role includes the preparation and posting of journal entries / accruals and assisting with bank reconciliations, including the coordination with the Treasury function on a day to day basis.
Assist LATAM Controller with company’s internal control procedures have been implemented and are operating effectively.
Manage external and internal audits.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
5+ years of experience of public and private Accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA preferred or equivalent
Candidate must have experience with MS Office Suite with strong emphasis on proficiency using Excel (working knowledge of Workday is a preferred).
Highly organized, work pro-actively and efficiently by completing tasks and deadlines; hands-on individual with initiative and problem solving skills.
High acumen to detail and accuracy of data and information.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills; ability to communicate with, co-workers and service providers across the world.
Workday experience is a plus.
