Job Purpose :

The Sub-Regional Controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all finance related activities of our South Latam operations with offices in Latin America such as, Costa Rica, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador.

This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance and forecasting.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete multiple tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround and work with a high degree of ambiguity.

The position could based in either of the following countries :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Member of the South Latam management team responsible for corporate finance areas (Financial Planning / Business Support, Accounting, Tax, Transactional Finance, Treasury and Credit) reporting to the Sub Regional Director for LATAM with a dotted reporting line to the CFO Americas.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting
  • Functions of the South Latam operation
  • Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
  • Managing processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to Group Finance
  • Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
  • Monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
  • Participate in development of strategic plans, detailing initiatives for capacity expansion projects, business cases, acquisitions and cost reduction projects
  • Leadership of finance / tax due diligence
  • Improve and redesign management processes Supervise a team of approximately 25 direct and indirect reports
  • Key Requirements : Knowledge


  • Bachelor in Business Administration or accounting area
  • Holds a professional qualification for example, Accountant
  • Previous experience as a Senior Internal Finance Manager
  • Knowledge in service industry, preferably outsourcing
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Proactively builds a high performing, collaborative team
  • Commercial Awareness / Financial accountability

  • Fully understands TMF Group’s business lines, regulatory requirements and how the organization is structured
  • Can articulate and demonstrate the impact (financial etc.) of their role and activities on the business areas
  • People Management

  • Understands what motivates individuals and uses this awareness to successfully drive individual and team performance
  • Will ensure the team has a clear understanding of the team KPI’s and will monitor performance against those KPI’s
  • Will delegate work across direct reports as appropriate
  • Strategic Input

  • Primary focus is on organizing and overseeing the day-day operational execution while secondary focus is continuous strategic input to the rest of the management team
  • Ensures alignment between local strategy & policies and Group strategy
  • Takes accountability for the strategic challenges and priorities of the business area applying these insights into appropriate solutions
