Reporting to the Country Manager, the incumbent will liaise with member airlines and other relevant industry and government stakeholders across Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay to maximize the value of IATA in terms of representing, leading and serving the airline industry.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the adoption of industry best practices in both passenger and cargo businesses;
  • Support member airlines and other industry stakeholdes in the diagnosis, design, and implementation of aviation industry projects;
  • Support the Country Manager in : a) disseminating across governments and local authorities the benefits that commercial aviation brings to the economy and the development of the countries, b) promoting the adoption of standards, best practices and international agreements, and c) coordinating the advocacy of IATA positions on key regulatory issues;
  • Build and maintain close relationships with member airlines and other industry stakeholders, including airports, regulators, ANSPs, DGCAs, Tourism Agencies, suppliers and service providers across the region;
  • liaise with government authorities both at the executive and operational levels;
  • Responsible for the establishment and facilitation of multidisciplinary working groups composed by stakeholders from private and public sectors aimed at addressing different topics of the aviation agenda;
  • Jointly with the Manager Industry Relationship (MIR) develop relationships with industry stakeholders to promote and sell IATA commercial products and services;
  • Attend meetings and conferences with industry stakeholders; Organize meetings and events as appropriate;
  • Provide timely reports to the Country Manager and or / Regional Leadership Team (RLT) Leader and Head Quarters as appropriate, regarding progress of work and achievement of set objectives;
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Country Manager.
