About Satellogic

Satellogic is a vertically integrated Earth Observation satellite and data company. We design, manufacture, and operate our own fleet of satellites, the Aleph-1 constellation, which delivers high-frequency, high-resolution imagery plus full-motion video.

Earth Observation imagery and data are key to monitoring change at scale, informing critical decisions, and ultimately helping solve the world’s most pressing problems.

Our mission is to democratize access to this information, making it affordable and available for those who need it across a wide range of industries, from climate monitoring and agriculture, to energy, infrastructure and many more.

We want to do our part in building a world where every organization is prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

With a growing team of more than 300 employees spanning 10 countries, Satellogic is a diverse group of purpose-driven professionals across software development, satellite engineering, operations, data science, manufacturing, and sales.

We are excited to grow and welcome team members who push the limits, get things done, and never stop learning all while being humble, honest, and empathetic.

About the team

In Satellite Engineering, the Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) team serves as an enabler to guarantee that the satellites we design can be produced by the plant via stable processes that can scale up.

They are the interface between design and production.

You will be part of a team responsible for the different sensors and actuators involved with the satellite attitude control estimation and thus it is required to have knowledge of electronic circuits design to fully understand the different products, as well as some notion of signal processing to be aware of how each part behaves and affect the satellite.

Being the nexus between engineering and manufacturing, you will work closely with members of several disciplines such as the electronics, software, mechanics and the technicians at the plant.

Our mission is to define and execute the technological roadmap to meet our clients requirements, and support its manufacturing & operation.

The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds.

About the position

As the sensors and actuators AIT engineer you will :

  • Fully understand each and every system involved in the attitude control. Its design, capabilities, points of improvements, interaction with the rest of the satellite.
  • Be in charge of the sensors and actuators manufacturing lifecycle. This means, watch over each product from its validation until its deprecation.
  • Contribute to the design in order to improve its manufacturability and scalability.
  • Be aware of the manufacturability. Follow production plan. For each new product (process or part), design and execute an Assembly, Integration and Verification plan .
  • Change Control Management related to the team.Support for manufacturing issues.Design improvements of manufacturing procedures, DFMA.

  • Interact with vendors for supply / manufacturing issues.
  • In collaboration with the sensors and actuators team, design and execute experiments as needed, collect results and analyse them appropriately.
  • Ensure a maximum Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) and Testing Readiness Level (TRL).
  • About you

    Required experience :

  • 2+ years of experience working with electronics in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years working with highly integrated systems and interdisciplinary teams (e.g. electronics, software, optics, mechanics, etc.)
  • Experience in electronics, systems engineering or related fields.
  • Required skills :

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related fields.
  • Understanding of different sensors technologies.
  • Linux OS, Python, code version control tools (git).
  • Fluent Spanish and English
  • What we value :

  • Capacity of planning, tracking and documenting tasks
  • Flexibility and agility : be comfortable with an ever-changing and fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Initiative : identify improvement opportunities, provide feedback, design solutions.
  • Systemic vision : understand the complex architecture of satellites, seek for the system level optimization.
  • Ability to understand and manage discrepancies and tradeoffs by exploring different alternatives and points of view.
  • Diversity Commitment

Satellogic values diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. We are convinced that hiring and developing top talent from around the world for any given discipline will drive innovation, generate new solutions, and deliver a superior product to our global customer base.
