ROLE SUMMARY

The Pfizer Business Technology Digital Center of Excellence builds and maintains the platforms and capabilities that enable Pfizer Business Units to connect digitally with our customers.

We build advanced cloud based technology solutions at a global scale that positively impact Pfizer business performance.

Pfizer is accelerating the use of digital technology across our entire commercial business. We are utilizing the Drupal platform to create cost competitive and technically advanced solutions to meet our current and future needs.

We need highly skilled people that can work independently in a fast paced environment and deliver on the promise of digital.

The LATAM Digital Services Delivery and Regional Engagement Lead will be responsible to lead and manage a regional team consisting of internal and external resources that focus on development, delivery, maintenance, and support of Digital Services & Solutions in support of Digital Engagement & Marketing functions at Pfizer.

This consists of integrated process & technology solutions that are either custom developed or purchased and configured commercial products.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the candidate will also have responsibility for an area of the Pfizer business and act as a single point of contact for business stakeholders.

The candidate will have the ability to engage with the clients in understanding the needs and then work to define solutions / deliverables to meet those needs whilst collaborating with internal resources, lead project teams in the development of high quality re-usable solutions.

We require excellent People manager skill, strong communication skills, problem solving skills, Program / Project Management skills, a deep understanding with a proven and relevant experience in various Digital (Web, Social, multichannel) platforms and successful delivery track record of solutions / campaigns focused on a variety of external customer types along with ability to effectively operate in a matrixed team environment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and lead a team of IT professionals supporting large programs, tactical implementations and change initiatives supporting the Digital Engagement & Marketing functions and business processes.
  • Responsible for the definition and management of selected global digital services in conjunction with the product & service owners.
  • Being accountable for the delivery of digital assets using these services as well as the support and maintenance of the services.

  • Lead Change Authorization and Management / Maintain control of platform and application enhancements responsible to understand the impact and value of proposed and executed application and systems changes, the approval process and the outcome.
  • Responsible to effectively manage IT and business stakeholders in the financing, delivery and value realization of projects and change initiatives within the regional portfolio or work.
  • Responsible for vendor relationship management within managed service agreement structures.
  • Ensure technology solutions meet the needs of the Digital Engagement and Marketing business functions, while executing the full software lifecycle for COTS packages as well as custom developed solutions.
  • Follow appropriate processes for technology engineering, project management and application support for the full lifecycle of the portfolio.
  • Ensure solutions are engineered appropriately for usability, availability, accessibility and scalability.
  • Manage and contribute to a resource management plan that allocates team members to the portfolio of approved projects.
  • Maintain key metrics for quality, efficiency and productivity for the team's digital services delivery portfolio.
  • Implement improvement projects to drive quality, productivity and efficiency.
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned Business areas, to ensure the solution center is fully engaged in all digital projects and initiatives.
  • Own & manage the engagement with key stakeholders for their assigned portfolio
  • Work with external agency partners to deliver on web based solutions supporting external engagements
  • Develop, mentor and engage top talent in the organization.
  • Direct staff with a clear articulation of vision, direction and expectations with the end customer always in mind.
  • Ensure alignment across the BT organization and service providers effectively utilizing the BT organization
  • Escalation Management adhering to established SLAs. Promptly respond and resolve escalation requests from Business Partners.
  • Continuous ImprovementInitiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.Identifies and provides standards for gathering information for use in trend analysis and reports information to company management.
  • Maintain key metrics for quality, efficiency and productivity for application support. Implement improvement projects to drive quality, productivity and efficiency

  • Understands, effectively uses and may coach project and support teams on technical tools, applications, and procedures.
  • Effectively communicates technical aspects of the job to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understands how group's activities fit with other groups and the entire product / service offerings.
  • Leverage existing solutions and global design to drive standardization
  • Ensures that standards of Quality Assurance (QA) are being met as part of ongoing services
  • Deep understanding of web based and mobile application technologies and concepts and / or business processes as applied to customer marketing.
  • Understand and negotiate with vendors on their project estimations as necessary. Engage vendors through RFP processes and follow allow Pfizer procurement processes as applicable.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management preferred.

    MINIMUM : BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and proven relevant technical experience with emphasis on software development and maintenance.

    Proven relevant experience as an information technology professional in one or many roles such as a software developer, technical project manager, systems administrator, database administrator, systems engineer, computer engineer or support specialist.

    Proven relevant experience of running an IT support and operations function, including incident management, problem management, configuration management, etc. Knowledge of ITIL V3.

    Proven relevant progressive experience as an IT technology leader, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry.

    Proven understanding of Digital Engagement and Marketing technology and business processes, Including but not limited to campaign, content, communication management.

    Experience with a variety of web technologies

    Demonstrated progressive experience successfully designing, delivering and maintaining IT business solutions for large-scale global organizations across multiple hardware and software platforms.

    Must have demonstrated competency / expertise in :

    10+ years experience in managing web application development with minimum 2+ years experience in managing Drupal application development

    Experience with web technologies (Ex. Advanced level PHP5, MySQL and HTML / CSS / AJAX / JavaScript) & working with a variety of Marketing stakeholders (Brand Marketers, Agencies, etc)

    TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated experience as an information technology professional in the web and mobile application domains.
  • Very Strong Project planning, management, and organization skills
  • Strong skills relative to management, analysis, design, installation, integration and maintenance of applications and related business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of web based marketing & 2.0 concepts as applicable to Customer marketing,
  • Strong knowledge of social, mobile and web application concepts as applicable to Customer marketing,
  • Experience defining design / architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.
  • Extensive experience in system analysis, design and development is required
  • Strong client engagement skills
  • Business analysis and user experience skills are a plus
  • Web analytics, Social media project experience is a plus
  • Experience with content management systems especially Drupal is a plus.
  • Experience with agile methodology and continuous delivery approaches are a plus.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience successfully delivering and maintaining websites and mobile applications. Must have demonstrated competency / expertise in : Software Development Lifecycle management, including production system maintenance and operationProven experience working with business teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, and relationship management.
  • High level of awareness of internal and external technology trends.

    Demonstrated ability to mentor a team of project resources to maintain project delivery, architectural vision and software quality
