Job Description

The Functional Engineer will partner with business leaders to create and implement technical & business process solutions enabling frictionless digital analytics.

This role is viewed to become an expert in functional design for the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) and Pricing / Price Optimization area.

As part of this team, the Functional Engineer will partner with the Business to enable Digital Analytics Solutions primarily for Trade Promotion Management and Optimization, Revenue Growth Management and Pricing / Price Optimization and in some cases, cross capability areas.

The main responsibilities will be the functional specification of Analytical RGM solutions development and testing of complex analytical reporting solutions.

The role collaborates with IT application Reporting Engineers and business / functional subject matter experts as well as Solution Engineers, Enterprise Architects and Analytics Designers.

Scope / Categories :

The role will report to the RGM / TPM Manager working for the NA and LAO Regions. The role will not have any direct reports.

Key Interfaces : Business Partners, Business Client, Data & Analytics team, Reporting Engineers and Project Managers. External Interfaces : Consultants, 3rd Party providers.

Experience working on Analytics related Projects and Business Intelligence background along with Sales, Trade Promotion Management or Revenue Management experience is a plus.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Understand business priorities (product and services), business operations, culture, and policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish requirements for the implementation of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Help in the translation of non-functional and functional requirements into IT functional requirements ensuring solution aligns with business goals and processes and uses and provides enterprise information consistently.
  • Help in the diagnose business processes or organizational problems, and leverage TPM and RGM needs to determine how customers can seize new opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Reporting Engineers and other Solution Architects to make sure that solutions fit within enterprise context and aims for standardization of solutions across K-C’s application landscape.
  • Experience in some Analytical Tool (Tableau, SAP BoBJ, PowerBI) or platforms like SAP HANA, SAP BO, SAP BW, SQL Server, among others is a plus.
  • Qualifications and Experiences :

  • 1 year experience in IT Projects or Sales Related Projects preferably focused on Analytics solutions in the Sales area.
  • Ability to operate in a digital workplace utilizing modern technologies to connect, collaborate, communicate and co-operate across a global organization and across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience with Analytical Tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics, others) or SAP software solutions (SAP SD, SAP TPM, SAP ECC, SAP CRM) is a plus.
  • Functional knowledge in key CPG capabilities (Sales, eCommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.) is a plus.
  • Self-motivated to keep up with industry trends and disseminating information across the organization.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines.
