Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility

This position is basically responsible for leading the foreign trade operations :

  • Control the whole import / export process of finished / semifinished goods, laboratory equipment, spares, promotional materials, as well as any other material requested by the different areas of MSD Argentina
  • Handle import & export issues and obstacles; solve problems, manage priorities and work together with all member of Supply Chain.
  • Oversight of Foreign Trade topics in Uruguay and Paraguay and performs customer service for MSD legal representatives in those markets..
  • Provide counselling on foreign trade issues and Customs & AFIP regulations affecting import & export process to any area within MSD Argentina.
  • Responsible for providing accurate budget calculations and perform monthly controls
  • Responsible for metrics and reports of the area.
  • Assure a fluid communication with Treasury and Finance to meet all of the requirements for Customs and Banks
  • Responsible for providing all requires information and documentation for the proper internal register of imports and exports for payment purposes
  • Ensure all operations are performed in compliance and follows all SOPs and Policies.
  • Responsible for the activities of the people in charge.
  • Skills

    Foreign Trade graduate degree. Fluent English level. Experience pharmaceutical products handling. Handling of personal computers (able to use PC as a tool for documentation, calculations, follow up, communication and graphical assistance).

    Knowledge in payment procedures. Knowledge on international trade procedures and administrative processes. High skills of teamwork activities and interaction with external suppliers / customers.

    Planning and organizational skills. Very good skills to read, analyze and interpret information, publications, regulations, manuals and technical procedures.

    Analytical problems solving and troubleshooting skills. Flexible to changes. Organized. Capable of working under pressure.

    Minimum experience in similar tasks : 3 years.

    Knowledge of S&E and GMP guidelines.

    Assure and adequate internal communication, with the team , among other teams, and with the supervisor, in order to manage and balance work load and priorities effectively.
