The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Application Development Consultant to join us in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In this role, you will be the key Red Hat representative on customer sites, guiding the on-site delivery and implementation of our middleware solutions.
As a highly respected and valued member of the Consulting team, you'll need a diverse and deep understanding of middleware and open source solutions, as well as experience applying these technologies successfully.
You will facilitate successful project delivery by providing reference architectures, proofs of concept, benchmarks, training sessions, designs, automation programs or scripts, performance enhancements, documentation, and product patches.

Primary job responsibilities
Design robust and scalable solutions to support enterprise applications
Develop API-centric applications using REST, Java, and Spring Boot
Serve as a technical lead on basic projects related to Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Middleware, Red Hat Fuse, or other technologies
Serve as a technical mentor to consultants, providing valuable, timely, and accurate technical mentoring
Maintain an up to date understanding of market trends and competitive products, including their strengths, weaknesses, services opportunities, and value propositions and how they compare to Red Hat solutions
Engage with customers as part of the presales process for services
Identify and shape the delivery methodology to meet customer project management requirements
Explain and help mentor customer personnel on Red Hat’s delivery methodology
5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects in an on-site capacity
5+ years of experience as a development lead in the open source environment, or related
Expert technical capabilities in three or more Red Hat or JBoss solutions and good technical capabilities in the remainder of Red Hat's solutions portfolio
Knowledge of three or more middleware solutions in the Red Hat portfolio
Understanding of the middleware and Java EE space outside of JBoss; experience with IBM WebSphere or Oracle and WebLogic application servers
Excellent software engineering, design, and development capabilities
Ability to structure a project and environment to succeed in an enterprise development effort
Ability to architect and design complex and workable solutions for the challenging middleware use cases of our customers
Solid core Java expertise
Experience with microservices
Experience with Spring Boot and Apache Camel
Experience with API implementation using REST
Experience with enterprise messaging and namely with Apache Kafka, AMPS, IBM MQ, etc.
Experience with containers, namely with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience designing and implementing production quality Java applications
Excellent communication skills
