  • Oracle Applications Technical Analyst
  • PURPOSE OF THE POSITION : This position will be responsible for carrying out Production support for the Global Oracle ERP Instance for Emerson Process Management.
  • 1. MAIN LOCAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Participate in all mandatory training provided by the company, such as those related to Trade Compliance and all training related to compliance with legal regulations and / or Corporate Policies, and may also be the mentor / guide of these issues if it is required.
  • 2. MAIN REGIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Analysis, troubleshooting, resolution and communication of issues reported by user’s community and / or other team members.
  • Implementation experience and detailed understanding of Oracle Workflow in Release R12 including but not limited to, Oracle Application Development, PL / SQL, Sysadmin, Workflow, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Java, OOP and MQ Series.
  • Educate business users.
  • Provide guidance in data preparation and migration.
  • Provide support for configuration and application of multiple functional modules.
  • Identify and test application patches prior to promotion to production.
  • Work with My Oracle Support Technical Support on SR resolution.
  • Develop training material and application documentation as required.
  • 3. REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 2 years of technical experience in Oracle configurations / setups for R12 eBusiness Suite, such as functional module setups, profile options, flex-
  • fields, functional module interfaces.

  • Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate functional material to end users and management.
  • Experience with gathering user requirements and understanding and interpreting requirements specifications
  • Experience with full Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Proven history of successful problem solving with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and long hours during month-end or year-end to support the business users.
  • 4. COMPETENCIES
  • This role requires expert skills in analysis, issue resolution, troubleshooting and communication.

  • Ability to work in a demanding user environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Solid analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills.
