We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Commercial Banking Relationship Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Maintain direct relationship with each client within the assigned portfolio, and detect opportunities related to the client s needs;
  • anticipate client’s needs to gain a leadership position

  • Develop new business opportunities along the proper synergies with the rest of the Group s companies
  • Perform credit evaluations and recommend credit facilities to clients, monitor constantly clients’ economic and financial conditions
  • Enhance the synergy with other Group businesses and companies, work closely with other areas of the Bank on issues related to products, services and clients claims
  • Keep up to date with the current market situation and the products offering within the Group
  • Obtain the corresponding approvals in order to increase business volumes to assure adequate risk quality of the portfolio
  • Requirements

  • University graduate from business, economics, finance, or other relevant disciplines
  • Solid experience managing a client portfolio and credit analysis gained from top-tier banks
  • Knowledge of capital market products and transactions
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate financial statements and cash flows
  • Ability to look for new clients and develop new businesses to increase market share
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of the current and emerging economic conditions, and their implications to the future client relationships
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, objectivity, delegation and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships skills and take pride in teamwork
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish, written and verbal
  • Within HSBC certain roles are designated as Enhanced Vetting Roles. For these roles, all internal and external applicants are required (subject to local laws), to pass satisfactorily a series of additional checks both as part of the application process and, if successfully recruited into the role, on an ongoing basis if they remain in such a role.

    As a result, internal candidates may require enhanced approvals and vetting checks if they are currently employed in a Front / Back Office department, or if they have worked in a Front / Back Office department within the last 5 years, (please refer to the HR FIM B2.

    The enhanced approvals and vetting would need to be completed before the candidate will be confirmed in the role.
