This is an opportunity to join brand new teams. We're looking for several leaders to help influence our long-term strategy and team culture as we build the team from the ground up.
You will help hire and develop the team. You will lead them to quickly and iteratively deliver high quality software features.
Key job responsibilities
You'll have a seat at the table defining the structure and strategic goals for this new organization.
You'll hire, grow, and actively manage a team of software engineers. This includes guiding and managing the careers of your team members, encouraging software development best practices, and setting up the right development process(es) for your team.
You'll partner with leadership and product management to define achievable product definition and customer experience.
You'll create and execute on iterative roadmaps for your team to deliver these products to our customers. You will own prioritization, trade-off discussions, and updates to stakeholders.
You'll collaborate and influence peer and partner teams in the broader Amazon organization and across our partner teams.
You'll take ownership for the long-term quality and success of the products that your team builds.
A day in the life
In this role, you'll leverage your experience as a people manager to hire and lead a team of software engineers. You'll actively leverage your network and Amazon recruitment to identify and interview candidates.
You'll work with your partners to define what products we should build and you'll work with the engineers on your team to define how to build that software.
You'll track work and report to stakeholders. Most of all, you'll work in an environment where we have fun while challenging each other to delight our customers.
