Solutions Architect I

The Solutions Architect I partners with the sales team to consult with prospects and customers regarding after warranty hardware maintenance.

Assists the sales team as a subject matter expert on storage, server and networking hardware maintenance. Provides on-going technical sales training to the sales team.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Present the companies’ technical aptitude concerning hardware maintenance and provide credibility to our sales team by accurately defining Park Place’s capabilities.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify potential sales deficiencies within the sales organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies, competitive landscape, and industry influencers.
  • Stay current with company’s global business objectives and profit margin goals.
  • Create and facilitate technical sales training curriculum on an as-needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • What we’re looking for :

  • A minimum of five (5) years of successful technical sales and / or pre-sales experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of data center topology, hardware and software.
  • Experience with selling server and enterprise storage and / or hardware maintenance solutions.
  • Experience with technical sales / pre-sales in one or more of the following enterprise server / storage technologies : EMC, SUN, Hitachi, HP, Dell, IBM, NetApp or Cisco, preferred.
  • Experience with selling Data Center Technologies or in running Data Centers.
  • Knowledge of legacy hardware technologies a plus.
  • Experience with sales training a plus.
  • Evidence of strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Bonus Points :

  • Portuguese skills
  • Minimal management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of legacy hardware technologies a plus.

  • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Business) or equivalent experience.

    Addendum A

    Additional responsibilities for a Solutions Architect LATAM specific :

    Partners with business development associates to consult with prospects and customers regarding after warranty hardware maintenance (TPM), ParkView Monitoring and other Managed Services.

    Assists the sales team with the creation of compelling Managed Services proposals designed to successfully close business, achieve customer satisfaction, account acquisition, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

    Their knowledge of business applications and data center operations practices help an SE earn the role of a customer’s trusted advisor.

    Provides on-going technical sales training to the BDA classes as they progress through Park Place’s sales training regimen.

  • Participate on discovery and technical conference calls with Sales Representatives and prospective clients, serving as a Subject Matter Expert on Storage, Server and Networking Maintenance (TPM) same as Software and Managed Services solutions.
  • Act as liaison between the sales and operations departments in an effort to fully understand and articulate our service capabilities and value propositions
  • Participate in pilots, R&D efforts, and custom solutions for unique client needs and Develops and delivers presentations and reports specific to a customer
  • Meet or exceed KPIs as defined by Pre-Sales management.

  • Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
