With a matrix organization, with global and regional roles, Regional procurement ensures the deployment of common strategy and processes with same overall objectives across all Vestas regions.
Regional Procurement is responsible for all Sourcing activities related to productive parts for Wind Turbine Generator in Vestas (Supplier development, to running tenders, negotiating and contracting suppliers and maintaining supplier relationships).
Responsibilities : Your main responsibility will be to manage a wide range of suppliers in South LATAM with focus on local market to comply with local content rule in Argentina and Brazil.
More specifically your responsibilities will cover :
Responsible for local strategy development and implementation (Argentina and Brazil).
Participate in Global Category Management Team(s) working cross-functionally.
Lead Supplier relationship and performance management
Understand our internal stakeholders’ requirements, gather commercial and technical information necessary to implement sourcing initiatives as part of the Strategy, lead supplier negotiations.
Perform continuous and in-depth stakeholder management.
Responsible for KPI fulfillment on own commodities
Execute risk assessments of suppliers, using the standard risk tools.
Secure that cost reduction targets are achieved through cost out projects and ongoing price negotiations for cross regional procurement initiatives.
This includes scoping, negotiating and implementing standard contracts and prices to enable local ordering, and support with ad-
hoc negotiation support for urgent activities.
Build supply market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions
Bachelor level education required - preferably within the field of engineering or business administration.
Experience of at least 3 years within acquisition of electrical equipment and composite parts.
English and Spanish mandatory.
Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Analytical and negotiation skills
Understanding about Supplier Relationship Management
Cross cultural skills (will work as part of an international team)
