The Commercial Director, Argentina Region is responsible for developing, aligning, and executing comprehensive commercial strategies that ensure positive engagement with retailers and external stakeholders to achieve best possible operating environment for our business, work together with Market Access to optimize market access potential for Pfizer’s portfolio and manage commercial conditions in a way that maintains Pfizer competitiveness and ensure compliance with laws and policies.

This position will be responsible to develop new business models to reach our current and future clients. The Director leads the commercial team, reports to the Country Manager and is part of the Country Leadership Team.

Core responsibilities :

  • Implementation : Leads and oversees the successful implementation of cross-functionally aligned customer operational plans to promote achievement of customer objectives.
  • Revenues : Leads the achievement of short, medium and long term revenue targets.
  • Market / Customer Insights : Leads the development of customer understanding, analysis and insight generation within cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of programs to customer objectives.
  • Planning : Participates in the development of the commercial customer’s strategy and cross-functionally aligned plans to support Argentina strategies.
  • Operational Effectiveness : Assesses and optimizes the operational effectiveness of the customer segment offerings and approaches to private and public sector customers to ensure consistent Pfizer experience for the customer and to optimize opportunities for Pfizer.
  • Monitoring and Control : Monitors and measures the success of customer strategies and programs given emerging trends and issues to effectively target investment and adapt approaches as required to promote successful outcomes.
  • Collaboration : Facilitates the work related to the customer segment and collaborates across the business to facilitate a cohesive approach to customer and brand activities.
  • Professional Development : Develops and executes individual development plan to enhance performance on the job.
  • Develop innovative ways to contact our current and future clients.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with emphasis on commercial operations, marketing and sales.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA).
  • English and Spanish fluency required.
  • Ability to establish and leverage high-level external contacts and networks with key commercial customers
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and appropriately based on audience.
  • Established track record of collaboration, innovation, and coalition building in complex environments, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Well organized, highly motivated, creative and analytical with regards to problem solving.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, independently and in a team environment, and with all levels of the organization and key external stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization
