Job Summary :

The primary responsibility of the People and Professional Development Program Manager (P&PD PM) is to develop and manage the functional competency development and technical skill programs for knowledge professionals globally and lead and contribute to strategic talent initiatives on a global level for EY Knowledge.

The P&PD PM will collaborate with EY Knowledge (EYK) leaders & teams globally as well as EY’s Global Talent team and other talent and professional development individuals and teams inside or external to EY.

The P&PD PM will help to integrate global and functional support relating to developing the competencies and technical skills and capabilities of our people.

Working closely with the functional experts within EYK (Research Institute team; Busines Insights group, Knowledge Management team, Digital Platforms team, Knowledge StrategyTalent and Operations, GDS Knowledge Leaders and Business Unit Leaders respectively), the P&PD PM helps to set the strategic direction and approach for the respective people & professional development program and executes and delivers on agreed activities and objectives.

The P&PD PM will also play a key role in the development of learning products (written, video, sessions) for the respective function to ensure our knowledge professionals have the right enablers to deliver on the EY Knowledge vision this includes developing and facilitating leading practices, templates, and methods.

Key to success is a seamless collaboration with talent and professional development SMEs in EY; a special focus is also put on the seamless collaboration with GDS Knowledge Leaders and GDS L&D (learning & development) professionals.

Special focus will also be on co-leading and expanding the scope and deliverables of the PD activation team.

Essential Functions of the Job :

  • Own development and deployment of functional methods and approaches where these are specific to the function, co-own cross-EYK methods and approaches (e.
  • g., SOLVED, My Competency Database, learning maps, DENA Learning Library, SAP Successfactors Learning Management System)

  • Work with Domain and Functional Leaders (in Knowledge Management, Research Institute, Busines Insights, Digital Platforms, Knowledge Talent & Operations) and others to identify competency and technical skill requirements and formalize this into a professional development framework before developing solutions to deliver against development targets
  • Design, manage and coordinate global development events such as the Global Learning Week
  • Manage and run a global agile and diverse teaming process and systems for EY Knowledge-wide projects.
  • Being comfortable to facilitate learning interventions for competency and technical skill development in virtual and in-person environments for all rank levels, across all teams and locations
  • Provide input to the Performance Management and Development Processes and support to EY Knowledge counselors in order to increase their capabilities to develop their counselees professionally
  • Collaborate with and co-lead talent initiatives for EY Knowledge that have a strong people component. Help with design, activation and promotion of these initiatives (e.
  • g. EY Knowledge Value Proposition, Agile supply and demand, Staffing, and others) globally

    Analytical / Decision Making Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for operationalizing people and professional development projects and initiatives for EY Knowledge on a global level
  • Looks to other businesses & departments to filter back to their areas all matters of importance that will enable the area to build revenues and enhance the reach of their services.
  • Networks fully in the relevant EY-internal and external people and professional development areas of importance to role and mission
  • Provides input on organizational restructuring and changes, staffing, leadership assessments or other key HR business and PD initiatives
  • Assesses global (EY and EY Knowledge) strategic changes and analyzes the effects on people and professional development initiatives
  • Knowledge and Skills Requirements :

  • Ability to present data, recommendations and insights in a clear, comprehensive and compelling manner with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable to advise on and participate in global project teams, using proven project planning and project management approaches
  • Able to navigate through EY’s highly complex, global matrix organization and interface with all levels of management applying strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills. Highly respected and proven manager with disciplined and involved style who successfully leads, mentors and builds high performing teams in a globally dispersed and matrix organization.
  • Ability to inspire others to action through demonstrated very strong and structured communication, verbal & written presentations, excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Strong consultative mindset, strong problem-solving and scoping skills as well as having a challenger mindset. Comfortable to work with stakeholders from all areas, service lines, sectors in a global and culturally diverse context
  • Job Requirements : Education :

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience :

  • 10+ years of experience in a professional service or industry environment; strong consulting affinity; previous exposure to senior
  • stakeholders a strong plus

  • Experience in diverse and multicultural environments is a strong plus
  • Experience as a facilitator in people development situations is a strong plus
  • Experience in a talent / HR, people & professional development, organizational development, and / or learning environment are a strong advantage
