The opportunity
The selected candidate will :
Be responsible for the management, direction and leadership of a program, which consists of a group of related projects, subprograms, and / or program activities, in alignment with strategy, commitments and goals
Be responsible for and manage the overall design, building, and testing of IT programs, services and solutions - on time, within budget, meeting client / business requirements and in compliance with all relevant standards
Lead project teams consisting of multi-functional, global and virtual groups and directly supervises staff, ensuring the appropriate expectations, principles, structures, tools and responsibilities are in place to deliver the program and deliver excellence
Builds successful partnership and persuades and influences internal and external parties involved across diverse disciplines to promote engagement with the program
Proactively identifies risks and issues on programs and leads the team to develop risk management and issues management plans
Your key responsibilities
Within large projects, defines and maintains realistic project plans, supervises progress against agreed quality and performance criteria and ensures programs of work are correctly allocated and resourced
Performs the relevant program management processes for traditional and Agile programs for product development
Presents program plans, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within EY
Works with project managers to provide support and guidance for the individual projects within a program of work and may manage people / teams.
Leads the development and improvement of project governance framework for use across programs of work
Builds long-term relationships with internal and external IT teams and business leaders
Leads the development of RFP / RFI process along with the Product Owner.
Skills and attributes for success
Expert knowledge of Program Management, Product Development, IT governance formulation, and team management
Knowledge of IT risk management, IT standards and policies formulation
Strong financial acumen ensuring financial goals are met across multiple projects and revenue enhancement opportunities are modelled and implemented where applicable
Robust understanding of IT infrastructure design and delivery
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Science, other Technical qualification or related field preferred
More than 15 years in a corporate IT environment
Project Management Professional (PMP) / Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
Demonstrates understanding of scope, schedule and planning; understanding of time management, resource management cost management.
Possesses good project management skills.
Good experience in client-facing roles
Experience of working in product development programs
Demonstrable experience in structuring and executing complex projects / programs as a Program Manager
Experience applying formal project management methodologies and disciplines in both traditional and Agile programs
Experience establishing governance structures that facilitate and drive decision-making, trade-offs and resolution paths
Ideally, you’ll also have
Program Management Professional (PgMP)
