  • Job responsibilities

  • Leads conversations with key stakeholders to understand need or business problem.
  • Conducts training needs analysis with functional leaders or process owners to define training needs and gaps.
  • Designs training specifications, learning objectives, and expected training outcomes.
  • Defines and delivers project scope, creates project timeline, and obtains stakeholder agreement and approval.
  • Collaborates and consults with company leaders, managers, and subject matter experts to define and assess core competencies and training requirements / needs.
  • Develops recommendations to solve business problem, some may / may not be training.
  • Partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content meets learning objectives.
  • Designs new content or reshape existing content based on changing needs.
  • Structures content and activities utilizing adult learning principles and practices to optimize learning.
  • Sources best content resources to meet training need and respect copyright and content ownership rights.
  • Develops training evaluations and assessments.
  • Ensures all training materials are documented, up-to-date and stored in designated shared environment.
  • Initiates and leads conversations with other training functions to ensure synergy of the overall training process.
  • Uses best-in-class course development software.
  • Coaches and mentors other team members.
  • Reviews work of new designers to provide constructive feedback and improve quality of the course. Researches best-practices and incorporates into course design.
  • Shares information with the team.

  • Ensures training materials, tools and delivery mediums are evaluated and aligned to current training needs.
  • Evaluates course development tools and software and makes recommendations for use.
  • Measures and monitors training effectiveness and ensures that standards of quality and effectiveness are maintained.
  • Qualifications

    What we’re looking for

  • Strong proficiency in writing, editing, and grammatical skills.
  • Strong planning, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong research skills including investigation, interview, and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in project management and ability to lead projects by utilizing the project management process.
  • Strong proficiency in the Quality Control, Testing, and Troubleshooting of courseware in an LMS.
  • Strong consultative skills to lead and / or serve as a member of project teams that involve the creation of training curriculum and / or strategy.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to trainers and key stakeholders regarding training curriculum development methodology and sound instructional design.
  • Ability to write comprehensive learning objectives and analyze effectiveness of training based on learning outcomes.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives and plan methods to achieve these goals.
  • Ability to analyze a problem and develop a solution.
  • Ability to work independently and with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work in teams, both as a team member and as a team leader.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate a workgroup, meeting or class.
  • Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to all levels of enterprise staff.
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the enterprise to collect technical and industry-specific information and convert into a format usable to a broad audience.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • BS / BA / Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Business, Organizational Development, Communication, Education, Science / health discipline or similar discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based meeting / conferencing tools, and the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment required.

  • Hands-on experience in multi-media, e-learning, distance learning tools; training design methods; adult learning principles;
  • and computer based training desired. Expert proficiency with Articulate, Captivate, and / or authoring tools. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite / Cloud applications, and Audio / Video recording and editing.
