Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

The Content & Digitalization team is part of SAP’s Global Legal organization. The team’s purpose is to drive digitalization and enable success of SAP’s business units by solving legal and business issues while protecting SAP’s interests.

The team is responsible for

  • Creating and managing of contract content with a focus on global structures and alignment within all regions
  • Supporting commercialization of new business models, legal standard setting and template creation
  • Drive simplification, standardization and harmonization of succinct and transparent contract content including legal, commercial and operational content, resulting in terms generally acceptable to customers while protecting SAP’s major risks
  • Drive contract content training and supporting reference information and negotiation tools
  • Seek and incorporate business and customer feedback as well as local feedback regarding contract content
  • Support SAP’s digital transformation and foster innovation including future digital contract management solutions and e-contracting.
  • Support SAP’s corporate business goals and objectives by serving as a true business partner, balancing legal risks appropriately against the commercial objectives.
  • Ensure that company business strategies, policies, and programs are developed and applied in full recognition of all legal implications and risks.
  • Support digitalization initiatives around SAP’s digital transformation towards the intelligent enterprise.
  • EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    Required

  • Contract drafting skills
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Skills in identifying priorities and anticipating obstacles. Capable of asking questions, proactively seeking clarity, and moving quickly to action
  • Experience working with overseas partners and international teams
  • Understanding of internal Contracts, Sales, Pricing, and Revenue Recognition teams
  • Enthusiasm and team-work oriented
  • Flexible, motivated and able to adapt to a constant changing environment;
  • Strong ability to follow up on pending items, track project progress, and stay current on project status and milestones;
  • Fluent English written and oral in addition to one of the following language skills
  • Preferred

  • Experience with the software / high-tech industry
  • Understanding of the company processes
  • Project management skills
