Syneos Health is looking for a talented, commercial minded attorney with strong transactional skills to work on our global legal team.
The Data Privacy Counsel will negotiate clinical customer and vendor contracts focused on Data Privacy matters. This is a highly commercial role that requires sound judgement and interfacing with a number of internal and external constituents.
Work with a global team of contracts attorneys / professionals.
Provide practical / legal advice on matters related to data privacy and security.
Support the negotiation of customer and vendor data processing and data sharing agreements.
Support customer and vendor audits and regulatory inspections as required.
Develop standard form contracts, contracting processes, and policies on legal issues affecting Company’s business units.
Provide training and education to the Company’s business units regarding, best practices, and risk mitigation.
Support internal legal team regarding corporate due diligence.
Provide pragmatic day-to-day and strategic advice to minimize risks while advancing business goals and initiatives.
Guide the business on the appropriate management of risks and issues. Suggest risk mitigation solutions.
Support the business with managing customer and vendor data privacy issues.
Must be able to work under tight deadlines and interact with lawyers and business teams globally.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Travel may be required (up to 25%).

preferably in connection with life sciences or clinical research. In-house experience at a global clinical research organization, pharmaceutical or biotech company is preferred.
