About the Position
As a Security Engineer Developer you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us.
You will be a part of a team to resolve a diverse range of complex problems and regularly lead multiple, technically complex, large-scale projects.
Access and manage Amazon Web Services cloud security controls;
Manage and configure tools to monitor activity on cloud platforms, and systems;
Cloud Operations best practices and standards in information security;
Monitor, evaluate, and action alerts from security systems;
Assess technical controls and identify areas of improvement;
Work, coordinate, and collaborate with a globally distributed team;
Assist in maintaining standard cloud platform operational procedures;
Assess risk associated with information systems and cloud platforms
Evaluate and apply threat intelligence
Effectively communicate up, down, and across the organization
Assist with developing and testing company Disaster recovery plan
Support Internal and External Audits
Responsible for the thorough documentation of implementations, via technical documentation and run-books
Apply adept understanding and experience with systems automation platforms and technologies
Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from business leaders to engineers
Collaborate with application developers and database administrators to deliver creative solutions to difficult technology challenges and business requirements
Responsible for automating security controls, data and processes to provide improved metrics and operational support
Employ cloud-based APIs when suitable to write network / system level tools for safeguarding cloud environments
Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and controls
Spot and execute new security technologies and best practices into the company’s Cloud offerings
Information security, network security, secure development, compliance, or data science training.
Strong ability to apply key information security concepts and frameworks to business and technical problems as part of a larger risk management process.
Experience designing and implementing security controls in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with information security best practices, tools, techniques, and frameworks.
Knowledge of compliance, including risk assessments leveraging NIST guidance, such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience evaluating, prioritizing, and fulfilling operational requests at high levels of quality and efficiency.
Experience in cybersecurity incident response.
Strong experience with Windows and Linux-based infrastructures, Windows and Linux administration, and AWS.
Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.
