Responsible for designing, building and operation of various tools within Enterprise Support services, with the initial focus on EYs Cloud workload management system, Turbonomic.
Become an SME with Turbonomic and use the platform to drive value across various EY businesses. Create and maintain automation policies and manage and track execution within the platform.
Maintain the platform. The role will center on the following points :
Ownership of one or multiple System Management tools Individual tool roadmap planning Manage software versions and upgrade planning Interface with tool vendor for support and roadmap planning Market watch, stay current on industry trends relating to Cloud Infra License management Managing tool configuration
Level 3 / Level 4 support in the incident & problem management process for the Operations team
Active driving of the overall fine-tuning process and best practices / standards of the tools in area of responsibility
Designing and building new System Management Services solutions including Requirement collection and documentation Solution design taking existing EY standards into account Driving Operational Readiness
Work closely with Cloud teams to ensure integration of Turbonomic with Azure is maintained and continuous.
Work across Compute and other areas of IT to ensure Turbonomic is integrated with other tools where applicable.
The role requires the individual to technically lead within their scope of the tools & solutions where they are a level 3 / Level4 Subject Matter Expert in close alignment with the Lead for Enterprise Tools within the Compute domain.
In addition the role requires decision makings relating to :
Use their Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in at least two System Management tools to develop solutions that will enhance the value these tools bring to EY.
Present these solutions to the Lead for Enterprise Tools and Global System and Tools Management
Create and maintain documentation to support and enable Operational Readiness of new services or major product releases.
This includes documentation for known incidents, patching, new versions and new / enhanced functionality as well as processes like backup, usage and scheduled maintenance tasks
Validation of major and new versions for tools they are the SME
Develop roadmap for tools he is the SME in close alignment with the Enterprise Tools lead

Strong knowledge of industry wide monitoring tools and platforms. Subject Matter Expert knowledge in at least two tools

Strong virtualization skills, preferably VMWare on Windows and Linux.
Excellent working knowledge in Operating Systems (MS Windows, Linux, UNIX)
Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Technologies
Practical understand of DevOps practices
English language skills excellent written and verbal communication
Flexible Hours due to the global nature of the role it may require the individual to attend calls either early or late in the day to accommodate colleagues in different time zones.
A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Over 5 years working within Information Technology
Over 3 years working within the System Monitoring and Systems Management tools space
ITIL Certification is preferred but not required
