Position Purpose & Summary The is the end-to-end owner of a solution deployment across technology verticals to ensure integrity and quality of project deliverables including budget parameters, timelines, and agreed upon scope.

The Integration Consultant leads the functional / technical areas related to the technical development to ensure the technical integrity of a solution within a project.

The Integration Consultant ensures that key functional / technical areas are well understood and managed across multiple technology and / or functional areas so that the Technical Development teams are equipped to meet business requirements, design objects, and understand infrastructure impacts.

This position will focus on key functional / technical areas and applications across technologies, design objects, and environments, but will not focus on the individual design.

Such areas position could focus include Application Integration, EDI, SW Development projects, or projects where a technical build is required.

The Integration Consultant is the single point of contact for project requests involving external customer or supplier trading partners.

This position ensures all necessary internal Cargill resources and technologies are aligned to deliver a project seamlessly with the Cargill trading partner.

This position will provide a single point of contact for medium to high rigor projects. Principal Accountabilities 50% Ensure Solution Integrity

  • Provide end-to-end ownership and stewardship of the key functional and technical areas having an impact on the integrated SW Development, Technology, and infrastructure teams within the scope of application development projects.
  • Ensure that the key functional / technical areas are well understood and managed from a technology perspective, and that Technology / SW Dev.
  • teams are well prepared to manage their design objects and infrastructure impacts.

  • Ensure business requirements provided to the Technology / SW Dev team are well documented and understood for a successful transition between the various lifecycle phases of the project.
  • Ensuring that the solution is complete and ready to enter each subsequent phase by facilitating quick resolutions of defects or gaps spanning multiple technology teams

  • In partnership with Solution Architects, Application Architects and / or Technical Architects, provide technical direction for a project in choosing the appropriate technology and high-
  • level technical patterns to meet the business requirements. Own, maintain, and communicate outcomes to the technology teams involved in the project.

  • Ensure the software and system designs are in synchronization and are appropriately scoped to meet business requirements, successful development and are operationally sustainable long term.
  • Perform reviews of the the software and system solution ensuring they are appropriately scoped to meet business requirements, successful development and are operationally sustainable long term.
  • Manages risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the key technical areas.
  • Ensure the business process alignment between the technology, business partners, and external trading partners or entities are maintained.
  • Champion the usage of Enterprise Architecture assets used within key Integration functional / technical areas across the Tech / Dev Teams activities on a project request.
  • Utilize Technical Arhitect input to ensure strategies, positions, and design patterns used to build deliverable objects from both a technical and functional viewpoint align with established technical architecture.
  • 30%Delivery and Execution

  • Execute and monitor the integration of people and other resources to carry out the integrated design work plans by managing workload and priorities to deliver agreed upon project milestones.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are engaged for successful work plan execution holding cross technical team resources accountable to their deliverables ensuring project execution including offshore, 3rd Party, or managed services resources.
  • Execution of integrated testing phases and processes across functional and technical teams by preparing and monitoring the integration of people and other resources in execution of the test plans.
  • Represent development and technology teams in the investigation, modeling and prototyping efforts related to the planning / implementation of new functional / technical areas or applications project requests.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication required to complete plan tasks coordinating the communications required across the work teams involved with Functional and Technical teams as needed for a project.
  • Escalate risks and issues as appropriate and ensure that contingency plans minimize risk.
  • Provide input to staffing plans and estimations at the project-level to identify effort and required skills.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced staff providing subject matter expertise across the technical verticals and the development delivery process.
  • 10%Relationship Management

  • Create and maintain long-term working relationships with project managers, technology teams, Architect colleagues, functional counterparts, vendors, business partners, and external trading partners as necessary.
  • Engage and influence business sponsors and users and contribute to their targeted business outcomes leveraging the technology options available to them.
  • Ensure impacted businesses / functions and trading partners are brought along on the change journey at the appropriate pace to ensure successful execution of the work plan.
  • Engage and influence designers and developers to ensure productivity, solution quality, solution integrity, and collaboration.
  • 10%Process and Change Leadership

  • Provide leadership for Process, Data, Change, and Education used within key functional and technical areas across the SW Development and Technology Team activities on a project request.
  • Prepare, execute, and coordinate the execution of training of users and operations teams in accordance with Change Management process.
  • Champion collaboration and enable delivery in a team environment.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems; OR equivalent technical experience
  • English Advanced Level (written & oral)
  • 8 years experience with application development life-cycles, systems integration technologies, and integration designs.
  • 5 years experience working with and developing SW solutions across multiple technology verticals.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business / technical information and make recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive work and influence others without direct reporting relationship including senior level personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with strong problem solving / decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results in a dynamic setting
  • Proven conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels of the organization and cross-function / platform
  • Experience working with 3rd-party implementation partners in implementation scenarios.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of project management principles; including planning, cost, quality, schedule, gated process, and critical path management
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SW Engineering
  • Familiarity with Requirements Analysis and Solution Design process framework.
  • Experience working in and / or deploying SAP or other ERP environment and footprint applications.
  • Experience with internal and external integration tools and solutions
  • Experience with application development platforms
  • Working with Agile delivery methodologies
