The Architect, EDI & Middleware reports directly to the Manager, ERP Technical Lead within the Global IT team. This role’s main responsibility is to implement global strategic projects, small projects and enhancements and support.
This role will work with all levels of corporate and global Supply Chain teams to drive innovation, efficiencies, and improvements to the portfolio of SAP Process Integration and SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PI / PO).
The candidate for this role must have SAP PI / PO Integration experience with SAPECC 6.0 and have demonstrated success managing projects, enhancements and support.
Design, develop, implement, test, deploy and provide O&M support for synchronous and asynchronous interfaces between Client SAP instances and external systems using the SAP PI / PO 7.5 platform.

Evaluate, model and design interface objects from an enterprise Service Architecture perspective to construct interfaces
Import external WSDL structures into SAP PI / PO and build SOAP based interfaces
Configure interfaces to use various SAP PI / PO adapters and route traffic to external systems
Configure EDI interfaces using PO B2B adapter
Develop message mappings between complex source and target structures X12 / EDIFACT (850,810,856,940,945,947,944,846,832,997, 824 211,214,210,990 Orders, Invoice, ORDRSP, DESADV, PRICAT, IFTSTA and others)
Design and Implement Application Link Enabling to exchange data among SAP instances
Develop scripts, applets and Java code required to implement interfaces between SAP instances and external systems, traversing through the SAP PI / PO instance
Work directly with business partners to gather requirements for enhancements and deliver solutions to business issues.
Develop relationships that will position IT as a trusted business partner.
Collaborate with representatives of other IT / functional areas to ensure end to end process integration and consistency
Identify opportunities to standardize processes and system configuration globally and ensure compliance across all implementation to these standards
Ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with established standards, methodologies and best practices.
Advise management of the project status and problems, or potential problems, on a regular basis
Perform special projects as required

Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems or related field;
10+ years of IT experience with at least 6 years’ experience leading SAP application SAP PO development efforts
At least 6 full lifecycles of SAP PO implementation experience including :
Trading partner setup and testing
Develop / Review of functional requirements and develop corresponding technical specifications
Advanced message mapping, Graphical mapping, Java, XSLT, and ABAP, IDOC
Java coding and scripting in SAP NetWeaver Java Stack environments
Designing and implementing Application security technologies and approaches
Experience configuring and developing interfaces in the SAP PI / PO instance
Experience with WSDL and XSD definitions
Experience working with B2B adapter for designing and developing EDI mappings
Development knowledge of JAVA transactions, interface / dialog programming, ALE and IDOC's, RFC's, module pools, User Exits, BADIs, BAPIs, Batch Programming, SAP Script Output, IDOC development and maintenance, Data Dictionary, Function Modules, and other repository objects
Experience in using conversions ValueMapping, RFC Lookups and Parameterized Message Mapping
Experience in developing Advanced UDFs using ResultList, Container, GlobalContainer, AbstractTrace and Accessing Adapter-Specific Attributes
Ability to build strict development standards and conduct code reviews on Sap PO
Experience in SAP CPI Technology and API technical know how
Knowledge of SAP IDOC processing and monitoring services including the SAP PI IDOC sender and receiver adapters to transform messages from SAP IDOC to XML format
Experience with various phases of project life cycle : Scoping and Planning, Process Design, Configuration, Testing, Deployment, and Post Go-Live Support
Good written and spoken English.
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Works well with teams or in a team environment, with the ability to work independently
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage IT projects
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience in working with other EDI & Middleware Technologies like IBM Sterling Integrator, Axway and Biztalk
Ability to manage multiple tasks / initiatives
