The Java Technical lead will be responsible for leading and providing technical solutions using and upgrading current technologies, designing, ensuring security and performance management.
Candidate must have strong foundation in software development, Java Enterprise framework, design patterns, software architecture, object-oriented programming.
The candidate should have a track record in user experience, reusability, scalability, performance, availability, and security and will be expected to coach others in these areas.
The candidate should hold Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and have 7+ years of active software development experience and 3+ years of similar lead position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Will be reporting to Development Manager
Communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team
Motivates team members and assesses performance
Provides help to management, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance
Communicates concerns and policies among management and team members
Participates in Scrum Ceremonies, daily standups and planning meetings
Review requirements, specifications and prepare technical design documents
Prepare / update documentation - requirements specifications, use cases, process flows and support documentation
May be required to develop applications in Java / J2EE environment
Conduct code reviews for junior members of team and do peer code reviews to make sure code is following corporatestandards
Ensure best practices in writing robust code, reviewing designs, code and developer testing including reviewing code of other team members
Will interact with the business unit and second level support team / peers to share research and findings based on the trouble-shooting
Mentor software development staff
Your Skills and Experiences
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Java / J2EE Framework development and design experience using JSF, Spring
Java 1.8 or greater is preferred
ORM or persistence frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA & experience with Oracle or Postgres database
REST / SOAP Web Services
Experience with J2EE Application Server (TomEE, Web Logic, WebSphere, WildFly)
Agile development methodology
GIT version control
Experience in MVC / MVP Architectures and Web-Tier J2EE frameworks such as JSF or Angular
Ability to take ownership of issues and follow through effectively to resolution of task / issue
Must be a team player work well with others
Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and track details effectively
Strong analytical skills
Fluent oral and written English communication skills
Good to have
Experience in Angular and Spring Boot developments
Experience in Docker and OpenShift
Experience with DevOps including continuous integration and deployment
Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and other integration tools
Experience in JMS, Rabbit MQ
