Job Description

The Engineering & Application Team is the IT Engine that delivers compelling and robust capabilities, products, and solutions to Kimberly-

Clark’s business and IT by focusing on cost savings, business growth, as well as connecting with partners and customers. As a part of this team, the functional engineer leads and delivers the analysis, design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment and support for applications within a specified business process area.

Performs leading-edge work and develops innovative approaches / solutions. This role is viewed as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing both business process understanding and technical expertise.

Recognized subject matter expert. Delivers functional leadership and can mentor others in the organization. May provide work direction / general guidance to other team members as a functional leader.

Scope / Categories :

Role will be responsible for delivering Projects, Enhancements and help growing the business in the areas of Sales Execution.

It will report to the Regional Sales Execution Manager in IT Engineering & Applications. Role will not have any direct reports.

Key Interfaces : Sales and Supply Chain Business Partner, Solution Engineer, Project Manager, Enterprise Architect. Business Client External Interfaces : Consultant & 3rd Party provider.

Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Deliver innovative, efficient and cost effective solutions for the Field Sales, In Store Execution, Order Management, Product Allocation, Distribution, Billing and EDI space to meet enterprise needs and to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Ensure secure compliant stable operations, being accountable of avoiding risk and disruption in Field Sales operations, Order entry and fulfillment for a specific region.
  • Functional leader of medium to large projects for the Sales Execution capability. Accountabilities across multiple functional and technical areas with wide range of complexity.
  • Proactive analysis of business processes and identification of innovative ways to address near term business needs which includes identifying these opportunities, reviewing and obtaining a disposition decision from the appropriate business client, assessing the fit of these opportunities into current initiatives, or including the opportunity in future demand.
  • Map the Customer Journey and partner with the business in the co-creation of solutions that add value to K-C.
  • Drives the evaluation of the factors which must be addressed in the change program.
  • Maintains in-depth understanding of both KCP and Consumer business processes for their capability area.
  • Influences policy formation; contributes to User Groups; significant contribution to strategic direction.
  • Leads Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives; consults and shares knowledge across org; full awareness of industry and technology trends that can bring K-C a competitive advantage.
  • Key Qualifications and Experiences :

  • Bachelor's degree; 7-10 years of Professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of Information Technology experience including working directly with business clients.
  • Has experience developing applications and able to apply that experience to identify opportunities, design initiatives that improve business process and ensure best practices are being followed.
  • Ability to do hands-on work configuring applications whenever needed.

  • Strong SAP hands-on experience with 5 years in SAP Logistics Modules (SD, MM, WM, eWM, FSCM, gATP, APO). Certification is a plus as well as knowledge on SAP S4 / HANA.
  • ABAP debugging skills to troubleshoot issues is desired.
  • EDI monitoring, set up and mapping
  • Customer Billing experience and knowledge on e-Billing processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Salesforce Automation systems, such as SDFC, and knowledge on In Store Execution processes as well as Distributor Management Systems.
  • Experience managing IT Projects and / or Programs.
  • Expert in Requirements management, with knowledge of Architecture and Technology management.
  • Deep knowledge in applying agile methodologies and rapid prototyping. Understands how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional project based teams.
  • Experience as Scrum Master running Agile Projects.

  • Understanding of digital enablers and technologies such as embedded Analytics, design for Automation, UX, and modern integration.
  • Has a leader mindset, which can enable an optimal TCO for solutions delivered by Engineering & Applications.
  • Experience with deploying and driving execution via performance measurement, benchmarking, and related visual management.
  • Held prior accountabilities that required influencing leaders outside of administrative authority.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing people in offsite and remote locations.
  • Strong service delivery skills.
  • Cultivates networking opportunities with peer organizations.
  • Broad range of business and IT experiences; has achieved technical and / or business certification(s).
  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-
  • C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
