Job Role Summary
Accurately and timely accounts for business events ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulatory / contractual requirements and controls policies
Supports internal / external customers ensuring appropriate operational impacts are reflected on Company Financials
Actively supports projects / initiatives as appropriate
Creates and reports out relevant commercial and financial information to decision makers
Providing financial analysis support for the business
Controller’s supports Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals and Corporate activities :
Upstream Accounting : Natural Gas Liquids Accounting handles accounting for inventory and movements, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, billing and accounts receivable, price verification and invoice payment, exchange accounting
Product Movement & Inventory (PMI) : Operational Accounting (Product Accounting / Crude & Manufacturing Accounting) accounting for crude and product volumes throughout the Supply Chain
General Accounting (GA) and Financial Accounting (FA&R) : Includes Upstream and Downstream Services Accounting, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Billing, etc.)
Payroll Services : Perform Monthly, semi-monthly, annuity, bi-weekly, and weekly payrolls.
HR Accounting : Assure that every dollar processed in Payroll Operations, Tax or Accounting is properly reflected in ExxonMobil's accounting records;
perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations; provide Annuity Funding Information to Treasurer's; execute key controls around cash;
manual checks, un-cashed payroll checks; execute payments to third parties; manage employee claims and bad debt follow-ups.

Job Role Responsibilities
Understands business events, interprets applicable contractual terms and regulatory laws and translates them into the corresponding accounting entries in accordance to local and US GAAP
Operates in a highly integrated accounting process, closely monitors automatic entries (systems interfaces). Identifies exceptions and proposes solutions to ensure accounting integrity and reasonability
Performs month end close accounting validations to ensure accuracy in Company books
Performs complex account reconciliations applying analytical skills and process knowledge. Identifies pending items, defines action plan for resolution and actively monitors progress.
Keeps management informed as appropriate
Prepares / provides input for financial statements reporting for global consolidation. Applies analytical skills to validate key financial data
Interfaces with internal and external customers for business needs and regulatory reporting. Able to anticipate issues and work with impacted areas
Processes payments / invoices / collections as applicable
Fulfills governmental / contractual reporting requirements
Looks for process innovation opportunities leveraging initiatives from other teams and available technology
Demonstrates teamwork mindset to achieve group goals
Participates actively in local and global networks / forums
Shows ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations and utilize information in written reports. Supports execution of new accounting systems, processes, contractual agreements among others
Utilizes data visualization tools, such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau to analyze and communicate financial data
Adheres to company's policies and control guidelines
Expected Level of Proficiency
Bachelor’s degree in a business administration or accounting discipline
6 years of relevant accounting experience
Advanced English level
US GAAP, Argentina GAAP knowledge is preferred
Analytics and automation tools, preferred
Advanced use of systems tools such Excel, Access, SAP
Solid comprehension, analytical, evaluation and interpretation skills
Ability to assimilate, pro-active, problem solving and communication skills
Business procedures and practices related to activities under responsibility
Teamwork and ability to multi-task
