Dow has a great and challenging opportunity for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our location in Bahia Blanca, Argentina .

You will be responsible for our Hydrocarbons facilities.

This role facilitates development of the business / facility maintenance strategy and solves reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology and tools to enable the plant to meet its business plan and strategy.

You will focus on those opportunities that over a long-term period or historically have impacted the plant’s measured asset capability and the opportunities identified as "high-risk" in risk assessments, reliability models and other evaluations.

Therefore, you need to have an expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in your own job discipline while also broadening your capabilities.

Responsibilities / Duties

Sets and Achieves plant PSR targets.

Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant / business needs.

Validates ERS implementation and closes gaps to improve / sustain reliability improvement.

Develops and maintains extended ERS plan in conjunction with Business Reliability partners. Supports ERS leveraging ensuring validation, value capture and fidelity of implementation.

Changes existing PPM programs and / or develops new ones based on definitive analysis of cost and benefits.

Serves as the SME for equipment prioritization.

Identifies and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses and leverages those solutions both into and out of the facility.

Ensures consistency in the Reliability Opportunity List process.

Develops and implement the Facility Reliability Strategy and provides input into the Business Reliability Strategy.

Serves as RCI Team Leader with proven RCI skills, coaches others in RCI facilitation and ensures strong RCI / CAPA fundamentals are practiced within the unit.

Provides front end loading support for plant Turnarounds.

Facilitates the Reliability Team and implement of the HRO principles within the unit, building strong partnerships and coaching / teaching as needed.

Facilitates the annual maintenance budget setting process.

Represents the facility in business reliability teams and initiatives.

Identifies key learning with significant value and leverage across the site reliability network through E&AT LER's.

Required qualifications

A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering

A minimum of 5 years experience in reliability, engineering, manufacturing, or related experience

Demonstrated facilitative leadership such as team leader for a project or initiative

Your preferred qualifications include :

Positive outlook and demonstrated ability to drive change

Strong knowledge about industry equipment

Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include :

Being proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel

Experience with SAP, APM, and Apollo Root Cause Analysis

Demonstrating competencies in the areas of : leadership, initiative, teamwork, and interpersonal effectiveness

Ensuring a safe work environment by working safely and, complying with environmental, health and safety standards

Strong work ethic and being able to remain productive in an empowered team environment
