Job Summary
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving, effective manufacturing quality systems.
The position requires a proven, natural leader, with solid manufacturing / engineering experience, who can demonstrate the ability to collaborate in a pro-active, hands-on manner across the organization locally and across the company to improve our products’ quality and manufacturability.
Responsibilities :
Works directly for the site Quality Manager on all quality (system and supplier) related aspects to ensure safe, on time and cost-effective manufacturing execution and delivery of quality products.
Collaborates with manufacturing team and use quality improvement tools / methods to drive defect reduction efforts and streamline processes.
Creates and improves procedures and documentation for assembly manufacturing, facility operations, new product introduction, and process development.
Manages and maintains quality inspection and product release processes for incoming material and finished goods, including communications with vendors when there are packaging and receiving issues.
Communicates with vendors regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continual improvement.
Creates and maintains a supplier database to include performance evaluations and quality control audits.
Supports the design, qualification and ensure ongoing manufacturing of products that meet or exceed internal, customer, regulatory and other applicable requirements.
Collaborates with manufacturing and product engineers on failure analyses and root cause problem solving.
Manages and maintains corrective and preventive action processes, status report, records and supporting documents
Supports customer complaints and response through the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.
Partners with Quality Manager, Site Manager, and other key personnel to maintain and update the SCI quality management system to achieve ISO (9001, 14001, 45001, etc.
IATF 16949, and other applicable quality certification requirements.
Manage calibration activities for SCI Federal
Minimum Qualifications :
B.S. in Engineering or similar degree required.
Two years of experience in product development or manufacturing environment, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
Agile PLM, MES, and / or SAP experience would be a plus.
