Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE : This position is responsible for building brand awareness at one ofSYKES' Intuit prosperity hubs in local communities through connectingwith current employees and community organizations at SYKES andcommunity hosted events.

This role will partner with of the NorthAmerica Communications and Public Relations team, assisting withimplementing the community relations aspects of key site-wide publicrelations, communications and marketing strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - Adheres to SYKES policies on ethics and integrity.- Partners with Operations Leadership and Talent Acquisition toidentify, design and implement employee engagement events and campaignsthat aligns with the overall site engagement strategy.

  • Designs and implements community events and campaigns to representSYKES favorably in the community, related to furthering regionalbusiness goals and in partnership between North America Communications,North America Human Resources and North America Talent Acquisition.
  • Manages strategic community relations efforts and events, as apartof the overall North America Communications and Public Relations region-wide strategy.
  • Builds working relationships with nonprofit service providersthroughout the community to ensure SYKES community integration.
  • Takes the lead in areas related to social, community resourceintegration and non-health related issues to ensure SYKES involvement.
  • Assists in developing and executing communications campaignsdesigned by the North America Communications and Public Relationsdepartment, in conjunction with business strategies for SYKES' NorthAmerica region.
  • Monitors and inventory community relations programs initiated bysite teams across the region. When appropriate, integrate thoseinitiatives with North America regional public relations initiatives.
  • In conjunction with North America Communications strategies,develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with localorganizations to include local government, community organizations andmedia outlets.
  • Partners with Site Leadership to make decisions on specificactivities and events that supports the overall site engagementstrategy.
  • Oversees the coordination and implementation of activities andevents to help drive engagement.- May perform other additional duties and responsibilities asassigned.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None Yes (See "General Management Duties andResponsibilities" addendum)EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree required.

    Three years' experience working with non-profit organizations required; or any equivalent combination of relatedtraining / education and experience required.

    Fundraising and event-planning experience preferred.QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to performeach essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Strong public speaking skills.- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with littledirection.- Ability to maintain open communication and a positive relationshipwith key audiences.
  • Organized and methodical with experience in project management andplanning.- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.- Excellent networking skills to develop and build strongrelationships with vendors, contributors and the local community.
