Because of the flexible nature of our product, our engineering and support areas face a variety of challenges. The Tools team creates a wide array of tools used internally to test, monitor and debug our systems.
As a member of this team, you’ll get the opportunity to work in multiple programming languages to both modernize current designs and implementations, and develop software from scratch in a context where curiosity and initiative are valued and encouraged.
Your challenges and objectives :
Understand the development process of a highly sophisticated platform with a diverse set of needs.
Become attuned to the wide range of needs and goals of the teams that will use what you develop.
Collaborate with multiple teams to tackle complex technical challenges.
Be curious and take the initiative to learn as much as possible about the context in which the tools you develop will be used.
Your day-to-day activities :
Design and write the code of features for both pre-existing and new projects.
Work with functional specifications of features (specs) : interpret and analyze, but also give feedback on them.
Perform technical analysis of existing code and perform refactors to improve code quality.
Perform code review.
Learn and apply best practices during the entire development process, from the very early stages of technical analysis and design of tools, to the monitoring in production.
About you :
Have a predisposition to learn and autonomously research things you don’t know.
Comfortable updating and redesigning already-existing software, as well as developing from scratch.
Experience working with data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
Knowledge of object-oriented programming, with a particular focus on one or more of these : PHP, Python, GOLANG.
English reading-comprehension is required.
