Ensure that FTAP Capital Goods projects including vessel products are developed and released using the New Production Processes ensuring all products meet their targets for cost, quality and delivery.
Main Duties :
Produce Engineering documentation as required to support requests for quote / customer orders / manufacturing and suppliers including drawings, calculations and procedures.
Develop a solid understanding of customer applications within the Industrial Process business
Apply sound scientific and engineering principles to develop robust and cost effective products and processes designed for manufacturability.
Communicate project deliverables in terms of risk, cost, time and quality to a broad audience within the company and externally, including senior management, developing mitigation strategies where appropriate to maintain project deliverables.
Other Duties :
Through a process of continuous improvement develop the New Product Introduction Processes across all disciplines so that time to market can be reduced whilst still ensuring a robust and effective process.
Preparation of accurate costing estimates for design proposals in conjunction with manufacturing, Supply Chain and external suppliers.
Source and specify materials, components, and assemblies with performance, serviceability, longevity and economy in mind.
Preparation of full, clear, and concise specifications for product function for use in internal and external documentation.
Perform duties to an agreed program, manage priorities by liaison with Engineering senior management.
Working processes to be in accordance with the Pall Quality Management System.
Introduction of new technologies wherever possible which reduce costs and increase time / resource efficiencies.

Essential Qualifications / Education :
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science.
Essential Previous Experience :
Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software for the creation of drawings and models.
Experience in commercial pressure vessel calculation software is desirable;
Experience of project tracking including cost budgeting; spend analysis, resource allocation, risk identification and mitigation.
Experience of a new product introduction process design / project management coupled with design knowledge of fabricated vessels, welded structures, seal mechanisms and pressure vessels.
General knowledge in MS project.
Knowledge & Key Skills :
In depth knowledge and application of Global vessel design codes such as ASME VIII, including preparation of calculations and procedures
In depth knowledge of vessel fabrication including inspection of vessels, piping, instrumentation and construction and generally accepted standards for process related equipment.
Must be able to demonstrate strong project management, leadership and effective communication skills being able to work effectively in a cross functional and multi-cultural environment.
Must have an in depth understanding of the principles of Project Management and how they are effectively applied within a New Product Introduction Process including risk management and mitigation.
General knowledge in instrumentation and piping;
Must be able to multi-task across one or more projects at any one time either individually or as part of a cross functional team.
As part of this you must be able to recognise timescale issues thereby developing and implementing corrective actions to ensure the deadlines are met.
Sound knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding and assembly techniques within a low / medium volume manufacturing environment.
Good communication skills in English and Portuguese (desirable) and Spanish (Native)
Must be willing to travel both within the Latin America including Brazil and abroad therefore a current driving license and passport are essential.
Must be willing to work at site on a brief of time
