EY-Global Delivery Services (GDS) Indirect Tax team supports EY’s Global Indirect Tax practice and clients in managing Indirect Tax services.
Some of the key support areas of EY-GDS Indirect Tax team include :
VAT / GST Compliance
Sales and Use Tax Compliance and Consulting
Work Opportunity Tax Credit and other Business Credits
Excise Tax Compliance and Consulting
What are you going to do?
Manage VAT engagements which includes preparation and review of VAT returns, as well as undertaking detailed planning and implementation
Act as a principle point of contact for clients or engagement teams for determining scope of work, issue escalation & resolution
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of team through regular training, coaching & counselling sessions
Ensure team adheres to the quality, Turnaround Time & other Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements
Maintain and Develop quality & productivity metric tools
Build working relationships with the user groups by conducting regular reviews & feedback
Work with user groups to ensure, work performed by the GDS meets the quality standards & SLA
Anticipate and identify risks and escalate as appropriate
Resource management & planning annual service delivery

What do we need from you?
Technical proficiency in VAT Compliance
Identify opportunities for selling new services to existing clients
Client centric and solution oriented
Demonstrate Project management skills in managing client deliverables
Thrives working within tight deadlines in a pressurised environment that works under contractual SLAs with financial penalties
2 to 3 years of VAT Compliance experience for any or multiple countries - Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chili and Colombia
Language capabilities English & Spanish or Portuguese
Preferable experience in managing a multi country VAT engagements
Exposure to Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable / General Ledger / VAT Tax accounting
