How you’ll make an impact & what you’ll do

AppDirect is seeking an experienced product management professional with a passion for innovation to drive the next wave of our reseller and CPQ services innovation.

You will become a key member of the AppDirect Product Management team, contributing to our core product strategy and working closely with our software engineers to drive execution of our reseller and CPQ services product roadmap.

A significant part of your role will be acting as an advocate for our target customers, requiring you to quickly context switch between product strategy development, customer needs assessment, technically complex problem solving and product go-to-market execution.

  • Lead our reseller and CPQ services product strategy, sequencing your product roadmap to maximize both customer value and return on investment.
  • Leverage your strong SaaS and CPQ industry experience and understanding of the market to inform your product roadmap.
  • Drive product market fit and own the go to market for AppDirect’s standalone service offering, AppReseller.
  • Understand and champion AppReseller customer needs. Collect customer feedback, nurture customer relationships, and bring the voice of the customer to your product development process.
  • Be a subject matter expert internally on our reseller and CPQ services capabilities and have a detailed understanding of the end-to-end reseller and CPQ customer journey.
  • Continuously articulate your rationale for reseller and CPQ feature prioritization and driving tough tradeoffs decisions to balance competing stakeholder interests.
  • Constantly assess your reseller and CPQ services product-market fit, using customer insights, competitive analysis and your own industry knowledge to adapt to changing conditions and refine your approach.
  • Work within our iterative product development process, taking ownership and accountability to ensure reseller and CPQ services product delivery deadlines and customer commitments are met on time and with high quality.
  • Define detailed reseller and CPQ services business requirements and work closely with our software engineers and architects on innovative solutions that take usability and scalability into account.
  • Closely collaborate with UX designers and your product manager peers to scope end-to-end user journeys for reseller and CPQ services that fully contemplate cross-platform dependencies, aligning execution as necessary delivery complete product solutions to market.
  • Engage cross-functionally with product marketing, sales and other stakeholders to support strategic reseller and CPQ services opportunities and ensure you are supporting product go-to-market plans, including development of sales enablement materials.
  • Produce content for engineering, sales, customer support and product marketing to consume for product launches, training, or technical specs.
  • Keep a watchful eye on your product’s performance, ensuring its performance and reliability meets customer needs and issues are solved quickly.
  • Own your measures of success, converting your KPIs to actions.
  • What you’ll need

  • 3 or more years of product management experience in the reseller / partner management and / or CPQ services market.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar discipline. 2 or more years of management consulting experience is desirable.
  • Extensive experience defining and managing multi-tenant SaaS services at scale, with differentiated end-to-end customer experience and quality performance and reliability.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for business results.
  • Expertise leading product teams practicing Agile software development methodology a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record at developing and executing long-term and customer-focused strategic product roadmaps.
  • Affinity for designing highly engaging and intuitive SaaS services user experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfort with engaging enterprise customers and presenting at executive levels, across both business and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability leading geographically diverse cross-functional product teams.
  • Analytical and detail oriented approach to your work, while also being quick to act and results driven.
  • Strong ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps and drive cross-functionally to execute and deliver under aggressive time constraints.
