Typical daily activity includes settling in excess of $2TRN via FX trades, leading a Markets OTC portfolio of 3M trades, managing collateral balances in excess of $350BN and processing 700K cleared and intermediary trades
OTC Derivatives Operations supports a global and diverse client base. Primary functions performed : affirmation, settlement, client money daily segregation, credit event management, client valuations, regulatory reporting, and tax reporting.
Facilitate transaction execution via a best in class’ systematic control framework, providing integration between risk systems (Athena, GPS, Kapital, Pyramid) and vendor platforms (DTCC / TIW / Markitwire / Thunderhead).
Manage a portfolio of 2.5M live trades
Monthly settlement of 600,000 payments (100% increase vs. 300,000 in 2010)
70,000 Dodd Frank MTM and client valuation statements issued on a daily basis

Primary Responsibilities include :
MCA Negotiation Coordination
Active participation in client MCA negotiations in order to promptly resolve issues and ensure risk mitigation
Work closely with Clients and the Business (Desk Heads, Legal, Business Managers) on bespoke legal language requests and negotiations
Actively work with legal during the master agreement negotiations in order to ensure that mutually acceptable templates are agreed within the firms’ counterparties ahead of trading.
Identify clients on Non STP Execution platforms and actively move them to an MCA governance model
Migrate clients off of paper confirmations and onto Electronic Execution platforms such as Markitwire and Negative Affirmation
Self-Identify and Roll out functionality that promotes STP
Look towards STP enhancement understanding client nuance, templating and submission timeliness
Act as point of contact for the client and the business, partnering with the stakeholders to understand requirements and associated risks
Validating client requirements versus service offered and look to enhance our offering to meet client needs by partnering with technology and the management team
Submission to regulatory time lines remains a key priority and self-identifying and rolling out any STP gain an essential component
Develop automation solutions that support the client and the business
Maximize client leverage of self-service tools, including third party vendors such as Markitwire and Smart DX
Participate in the UAT and adoption of new industry tools such as Smart DX
Skills and Qualifications
Derivative Operations experience desirable (Middle Office / Back Office)
Strong product knowledge; thorough understanding of the end to end transaction cycle for Rates, FX and Commodities derivative products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding on Dodd Frank / CFTC / EMIR guidelines
Ability to drive results through a "hands-on" approach
Successful in team environments with matrix reporting structures
Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize & mitigate operational risk
Ability to multi-task effectively to meet tight dead lines
Flexibility to work in shifts
Strong attention to detail
Legal knowledge on Markets preferred.
Experience in handling groups and developing their skills
Good coordination skills for initiatives and projects.
