Job Summary : Do you enjoy helping others with challenging tasks? If so, then Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the ideal part-time position for you.
Library Aides work as part of a customer service team with a focus on helping students, including college-level research and writing.
This position assists users with various library and college resources and services.
Specific duties include :
Minimum Qualifications : A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Working knowledge of current computer hardware and applications used in post secondary education.
Ability to help library users with a wide variety of information needs at various service points in the library.
Ability to occasionally work at the Texas Township Campus as needed. Preferred Qualifications and Experience : Prior library work experience and knowledge of library practices and procedures is preferred.
A minimum of two years of post-secondary education is preferred. Physical Demands : Bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
