Purpose Of Role :
The role holder is responsible for providing general human resource assistance to a particular account or global geography, or from within a human resource speciality area.
He / she provides a professional Human Resources consultancy service to Line Managers and their teams to enable them to meet their business objectives in line with regional and business strategies, company values, policies and procedures, HR best practice and external legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
To deliver and advise on HR processes, products and services, in one or more of the following areas : Resourcing, labour relations, compensation & benefits, employee services, management development, employee relations, employee communications and employee professional development.
To partner with management and other colleagues within the business to achieve BT's targets.
To contribute to the definition of HR actions.
To participate in the development of processes / products / services to support business strategies.
To monitor and provide feedback for decision-making on the effectiveness of people management practices / processes.
To support change initiatives from BT wide perspective.
Business Impact :
Impact is short term and functional in scope.
Involvement in project research, under the direction of more senior colleagues.
Executes processes to meet customer needs.
Involvement in analysis, design & development of policies, plans & programmes.
Current policy, business strategy and objectives guide this role, although there may be involvement in the formulation and development of future policy.
Authority / Decision Making :
Decision making is according to well-established guidelines and readily available advice.
Works under supervision.
Typically : graduate level or corresponding experience, CIPD or working towards this or relevant business qualifications.
Skills / Experience :
Relevant experience and knowledge in HR issues.
