Job Overview / Summary

This role is responsible to shape and impact International's LATAM innovation and sustainability plans in support of broader business goals and manage the Aldo Bonzi R&D Site.

Key Responsibilities

As an R&D Director, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Buenos Aires R&D community of scientists, technicians, and trainees.

You will a member of the LATAM Business Leadership Team, lead the Regional Innovation Team, and sit on the Clorox International Studio team.

You will be responsible for development and execution of the Innovation Plan and serve as a thought leader for the business, collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Insights, and Supply leaders to drive the LATAM agenda and business.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Business Impact Create and / or enable projects & programs by working closely with senior leaders and leadership teams to advance business and / or technical program(s)Ensure functional & technical excellence in all workManage R&D business processes (budgets, resource allocations, Buenos Aries Site, etc.)
  • Organization Impact With appropriate partners, build organizational, business and / or technical capability that creates competitive advantageCreate R&D resource and prioritization plan to support objectivesExecute R&D strategy 1-3 year time frame.
  • People Development Development of manager and scientist capabilities to address evolving business needs; Managing people processes (Staffing, Performance & Potential, Compensation);
  • Build bench strength and succession planning.

    Key Skills, Abilities ,Experience and Education Required

    Years and Type of Experience

  • BS / MS / PhD in Chemistry, Engineering or related technical field with 10-15+ years of CPG or equivalent relevant experience
  • Prior direct people management experience required
  • Prior project management experience required
  • Ability to travel Internationally up to 30%
  • Willingness to relocate Internationally in the long term

  • Building ability, knowledge, and expertise to manage 3-year strategic programs within a function
  • Demonstrated people management and people development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategy by working through others
  • Innovation skills including Curiosity, Agility, Leading in Ambiguity, Adaptability, Strategic Thinking, Influencing
  • Ability to build or demonstrate people development and / or technical leadership skills in other people managers and senior technical contributors
  • Competence in all Skill Areas is expected to increase with increasing job responsibility
