Job Role Summary
Volume Management Specialist role is part of the North America Supply Coordination team. This team works together to plan, schedule and execute crude and fuel product movements from production facilities in Canada and United States to customers across North America.
Supply Coordination team creates value by ensuring supply reliability, meeting customer needs, trade contract terms and enabling revenue growth all while minimizing costs and preventing value leakage.
Volume Management Specialist role creates value by ensuring accurate fuel product demand forecast generation for each terminal / customer / product, and by ensuring generated demand forecast transfers to an accurate customer / location allocation record at the beginning of each month.
Volume Management Specialist role provides support to Customer Service Team and is primary interface between Customer Service and Supply Coordination.
Responsible to ensure escalated / unresolved customer issues are managed in a timely manner and systemic issues are identified and resolved.

Job Role Responsibilities
Produce accurate product demand forecast by working with Customers to ensure accurate and timely submission of demand forecast by terminal, by product and grade.
Manage any change requests and ensure any adjustments are applied to the demand forecast within the specified business guidelines (i.
e. apply any Supply disruption or terminal outage adjustments to forecasts and incorporate seasonality impact / changes)
Work in conjunction with Sales and Supply teams to ensure customer demand forecast is aligned with sales and supply team insights, expectations and constraints.
Communicate with Sales and Supply to review and approve demand forecast as per the demand forecast calendar (i.e. cycle).
Identify & resolve any residual customer demand forecast issues and communicate impacts back to customers.
Ensure accurate product allocation records for customers are generated at the beginning of each month.
Generate weekly and monthly stewardship reports to analyze forecast versus actual lift performance. Use stewardship to identify customer trends and apply to future month forecasts.
Provide support to Customer Service Team in dealing with supply-related inquiries and / or truck loading issues at company owned fuel terminals, follow-up to ensure root cause is identified and action is taken to resolve in a timely manner.
Ensure new terminal setup data is correctly downloaded and received in relevant IT systems.
Escalate and resolve any IT system or vendor software issues.
Expected Level of Proficiency
Post-Secondary education (Bachelor’s degree) with preference for Information Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related discipline
Experience in any of the following is required : Applying IT solutions to automate / eliminate manual work efforts, apply logic to streamline executing tasks, create data visualizations and analyze data Plan, schedule or coordinate goods or product movements via pipeline, vessel, rail or truck Work in petroleum refining, pipeline or chemicals operations Volumetric accounting experience, sales & customer support experience
Solid proficiency in use of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience in SAP, Analysis for Office, and Tableau is a plus
