Job Summary : With a dual role focused on regional coordination and local execution, the Publicity Manager for Theatrical & DSS, oversees the design and execution of integrated communication plans for Theatrical and Disney Streaming Services in Latin America (Disney+ & Star+) tittles coming from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight and more.

A dynamic position servicing marketing needs that centers on a continuous collaborative work within the Publicity & Corporate Communications team and a permanent dialogue and cooperation with publicity and marketing teams around Latin America and US Headquarters.

Responsibilities :

  • Be the main point of contact, between the marketing and the global press and communication teams, regional in Latin America and local at Disney offices in the region.
  • Strategic planning and supervision of implementation of Publicity campaigns for all Theatrical and designated DSS releases throughout Latin America.
  • Allocates resources (people & agencies) according to the titles roll out.
  • Responsible for the administration and surrender of the budget allocated for press actions in Argentina and Latin America Regional.
  • Supervises and works in collaboration with all DSS & Theatrical Publicists on the creation and execution of 360 communication plans / strategy for all IPs (including original productions) and priority acquisitions, which ensure communication for all targets : Influencers, journalists & Fans;
  • Industry & Stakeholders; Employees; Trade; Citizenship Corp.

  • Enables of fully open communication between publicity teams in Latin America (including regional team) for optimal brainstorming, team work, titles workflow and publicity initiatives implementation.
  • Aids marketing team to preserve the ideas and campaign concepts through the region by supervising the regional strategy.
  • Manages opportunities available for Latin America press, coming from outside the region.
  • Develops press opportunities in and for Latin America.
  • Supervises the creation of publicity assets and materials throughout the region, guaranteeing : full Disney quality, digital efficiency and delivery time.
  • Accountable for tracking, measuring and reporting on publicity campaigns effectiveness throughout the region.
  • Handling the relationships with pan-regional media outlets, local outlets and influencers and pitching them on Publicity stories.
  • Implementation of local (Argentina) media relations plan and a PR content strategy targeting effectiveness of media buy with focus on digital.
  • Facilitate exchange of ideas between teams across company that impact the launches communication strategy.
  • Follows communication for music and live events coming from the featured content.
  • Build rapport and strong network with internal clients.
  • Delivers publicity campaigns to be adapted throughout the region.
  • Talent Development : team skills and career plan.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • 8-10 years of experience in similar roles or PR agencies (experience with film projects / film publicist desirable).
  • Bachelor on Mass Communications, Journalism, Literature, Public Relations or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English. Portuguese is desirable.
  • Creative approach for campaign planning and materials developing, with high impact in business results.
  • Managing of third party vendors.
  • Global Mindset, Team leader and player.
  • Availability to acknowledge issues, prioritize and multi-task effectively while using good business and financial judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully.
