Work is to provide the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) support the recovery and mitigation missions with a focus on communities affected by disaster.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Development of operational plans
Subject matter expertise
Advisement to field teams and senior leadership
This position will require highly motivated and self-directed individuals that are comfortable interacting with FEMA senior leadership.
The assignment duration is anticipated to be 18 months with short rotations home every 2-3 months. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with business processes in austere environments and across multiple locations
Must be able to relocate to disaster area for a period of a minimum of 6 months
Must be able to be badged (US citizen, pass high level criminal and financial background checks)
Expertise in one or more of the following planning sectors :
Communications and IT infrastructure
Project manager certified as a Project Management Professional
