Job Summary :
The Security Operations Technical Coordinator is responsible for escalating, triaging, coordinating and reporting the overall security posture of Tax Application Security.
The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Service Delivery Leads, Production Support team and Program Directors providing vulnerability reports and status updates on remediation.
Responsibilities include enabling the standardization and automation of processes and procedures for Security Technology management, leading the planning, scheduling and implementation of changes / releases / upgrades to the application environments.
The Security Operations Technical Coordinator is responsible for executive and technical reporting and presentations across IT and business.
Essential Functions of the Job :
Provides oversight and reporting of Information Security initiatives
Manages the group’s awareness of major Information Security and IT issues, and helps to prevent escalations where possible
Coordinates remediation efforts and risk management for identified vulnerabilities
Coordinates resolution of risk and / or risk assessment and acceptance documentation
Collaborate with Technical Leads in order to drive process alignment and technical leadership by evaluating Information Security’s adherence to established processes, creating and implementing process improvement plans and directs automation efforts as needed.
Contribute to IT policy awareness
Contribute to development of IT Risk Management reporting strategy and roadmap
Aggregate data from disparate sources into holistic risk picture
Present risk metrics and information in meaningful business terms
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure risks are being reported and maintained in respective repositories
Provides executive level reporting and presentations
Analytical / Decision Making Responsibilities :
The role requires a strong analytical acumen and solution orientation to influence and guide technical production support efforts to avoid potential risks to Tax systems.
The role’s insight and proposed actions should strive to be strategic, look beyond stop gap’ measures and seek to drive improvements to the technical operation and support of Information Security technologies in a manner that balances the firm’s security needs with the business impact and benefit.
The role requires the ability to deal effectively and efficiently with escalations.
Supervision Responsibilities :
The role can be assigned direction of technical staff tasks which can require coordination across a remote based staff.
Directs the progress of project work assigned to team members, and reports status to management
Recommends plans for training and development of team members to develop their skills
Knowledge and Skills Requirements :
Breadth of knowledge and experience in a wide variety of technologies and software solutions
A working knowledge of policy frameworks such as ISO, COBIT and unified compliance framework
Experience in developing and executing reporting strategies
General technical knowledge of operating systems, databases, networks, and mobile and cloud computing
Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
Experience with MS SharePoint
Experience in communicating to all levels of management, clients and vendors
Strong English language skills, good writing, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
Advanced interpersonal and collaborative skills needed to engage strategically other senior executives of the firm in cross business discussions
Expert communication skills to direct improvements and remediation of processes, propose credible solution options, and properly position Information Security Technology Support role in a quality technical application management role.
Projects a well-defined consultative skill to conduct effective questioning in order to break down complex issues into core elements, formulate appropriate ideas
A proven history of Building and managing the teams through effective delegation and by using appropriate resources
Experience in using Excel and Access to manipulate large sums of data and creating reports for upper management
Experience working with Information Security applications / tools a plus
Experience working in a global virtual environment
Strong English language skills are required written and verbal

Good time management, organizational, and decision-making skills
Good judgment, tact, and decision-making ability
Ability to understand and integrate cultural differences and motives and to work with cross cultural teams
Degree in Business Management and minor in Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
