Day in the life of a Lumen21 DevOps Engineer
Once you start your day, you will self-assign your work for the day based on the status of our Sprint Backlog. You will interact with your Manager and your co-workers to make sure your efforts are in-line with our dynamic environment, and you will ensure you're providing your teammates with the support they need in order to meet our goals.
Background in automation / configuration management platforms.
Experience with managing high-volume services.
Knowledge of network protocols, monitoring systems, virtualization and database administration.
Availability to respond and handle after hour issues.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience designing highly-available & cloud-native infrastructures.
Hands-on experience with production-grade environments.
Background in Linux Administration (CentOS is a plus).
Experience with monitoring / logging infrastructure (ELK-stack, Grafana, Nagios).
Written and oral English communication.
Experience in IT systems administration.
Knowledge in automation, configuration management (e.g. Puppet, Chef), monitoring (Nagios is a plus).
Code development skills : Java, C#, Python and / or Bash.
Experience in Cloud Computing (Azure / AWS) is a plus.
