GDS GCS Data Analyst

  • Position Summary and Primary Objective : Responsible to collect, structure and cleanse the data supplied during transition sessions and templates;
  • Owner of the engagement metadata that is used as basis for operations, such as GTP IRs and data acquisition; Investigates and clarifies data quality issues

    Essential Functions of the Job :

    Data Analyst will perform the below functions :

    Operational : Delivery

  • Hands on support for Client specific GTP and Technology Solution environment setup for client presentations i.e. data request, system integrations and setup etc
  • Executing GTP deployment activities including documenting design and requirements, client onboarding onto GTP, unit testing, delivery of Executing deployment activities including documenting design and requirements, client onboarding onto GTP, unit testing, delivery of training to EY and client teams, go-live documentation, etc
  • Technology enablement resource i.e. Assist and advise on GTP queries, coordinate and communicate on-going resolution for tech enhancements and issues etc.
  • Development and delivery of project documentation based on standard templates
  • Support in delivery of high-level business case / pricing, effort / costing indications
  • Executing proof-of-concepts and pilots to evolve opportunities into new projects / engagements
  • Support in the delivery of the technology deployment plan
  • Responsible for full engagement lifecycle support, e.g. draft SoW, new engagements code set up, complete PACE assessments, billing, etc.
  • Management of GTP issues and enhancement across account teams to centralize EMEIA GTP Intake process for control, governance and oversight
  • Ongoing maintenance and support post go-live i.e. GTP release management across clients to ensure account team not burdened
  • MDC and Data Dictionary engagement support
  • Quality

  • Knowledge and Skills Requirements :

    Abilities -

  • Analytical mindset, quick learner and capability to adapt to a dynamic environment and be able to deliver work in a structured manner
  • Ability to coordinate project activities and work well with different teams including geographically dispersed resources across multiple teams within EY and at client side
  • Be flexible and willing to adjust responsibilities to align with developing business needs
  • Technology Skills

  • Analytical mindset, quick learner and capability to adapt to a dynamic environment and be able to deliver work in a structured manner
  • Understanding of EY delivery methodology for GCR / TFO engagements
  • Strong project management skills, ability to plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor budget
  • Ability to coordinate project activities and work well with different teams including resources in other locations across multiple teams within EY and on client side.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and packages such as Power BI, QlikView, Spotfire, R, python, SQL or Excel VBA or similar.
  • Experience and understanding of EY technology deployment approach (e.g. technology implementation phases, gather requirements, design, tech set up, tech test, etc.)
  • Awareness of broader EY technology landscape (e.g. OGM Workflow, ServiceNow, EYInteract, etc.)
  • Tax Technical Skills

  • Experience on reviewing TB, preparing fixed asset registers and posting entries into accounting systems
  • Knowledge

  • Delivery in a services environment.
  • Maintains interpersonal skills to engage with peers and other seniors of the firm, in matrixed, geographically dispersed organization and to build a solid network for collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute in improving the processes, propose credible options
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or master’s degree, preferably Commerce or Business Management
  • 3 4 years’ experience of working in a multi-cultural and team environment
