The Solutions & Technology organization of Avaya is the company’s global team responsible for the innovation and development of Avaya’s contact center, unified communications and collaboration products and services.

As a Software Product Owner, you will get inputs from the different stakeholders and use that to elaborate and update the product backlog that will feed the different scrum teams.

You will work with the Software Architect, the Engineering Managers and the Scrum teams, to ensure the direction, requirements and expected outcome for the different stories is understood and doesn’t have visible gaps.

You will be available for the scrum teams to provide clarifications and discuss options when required.

About the Responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Prioritize and refine stories, making sure there are enough ready for the next few sprints
  • Participate in grooming meetings with the teams, helping increase team's understanding
  • Be the voice of the customer to the scrum team
  • Contributes to an open and transparent work environment
  • About the Requirements

    EXPERIENCE

  • Solid experience managing backlog in agile oriented teams
  • Proven experience prioritizing requirements and managing expectations
  • Experience refining requirements and communicating business needs
  • Experience with Contact Center Automation / Self-Service solutions (desired)
  • SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Solid English communication skills
  • Agile Methodologies (Scrum certifications desired, Kanban, Lean a plus)
  • Fluent English communications skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Software Engineering background that allows for an overall understanding of the technical solutions
  • Ability to influence team with vision for success
  • Jira / Confluence (desired)
  • EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor Degree in Software
  • Agile Certifications (desired)
  • Preferred Certifications
