Role Summary :
Quality Engineering addresses the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant, at the customer site as the customer Liaison and suppliers’ facilities.
Individuals in these roles decide what process metrics will be monitored and how they will be sampled, using statistical process control (SPC) tools.
individuals in Quality Engineering roles often work with Product Engineering to determine the key product characteristics and how best to measure them in a real-time plant environment.
Quality Engineering is responsible for implementing materials inspection processes, including containment and corrective actions at the manufacturing plant to rectify defects.
Individuals in these roles are involved in proactively reducing variation and eliminating defects using tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to implement a Quality Improvement program
Assist Quality Manager in the development, implementation and monitoring of ISO Quality Management System which includes conducting internal audits and Lead customer audits.

Tests NDE, RT, PT
Provides thought leadership and develops methodology and practices for others
Challenges critical thinking for others
Formulates ideas that lead to development of new equipment and processes
Conducts broad research with users to develop and justify processes and practices
Provides oversight to drive metallurgy and welding responsibility
Supports customer technical requirements
Provides process control development
Defines basic quality requirements for products, including standard QCP issue and management
Preferred Experience / Skills : Advanced Six Sigma tools
Minimum Bachelors of engineering degree is required in Quality Engineering, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
5+ years related experience in required
Industry experience in large, complex mechanical equipment manufacturing is required.
Rotary equipment, pumps, valves, castings is highly preferred.
Advanced testing experience and certifications
SPC and statistics
NDT qualification level II (Level III preferred)
