As a Data Engineer (Sr / Lead), you’ll be responsible for building the next generation Analytics platform which will power informed decisions about how our products perform and how our customers use our product.
This is a core competency we are developing in our organization and your work will have immediate and broad impact across the organization.
You will be responsible for development / design and architecting our data ingestion strategy for product data pipelines and how this integrates into our data warehouse in a scalable manner.
What you’ll need to be successful :
Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
Must have experience with some of the following Big data tools : Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
Must have experience with some Relational SQL or NoSQL databases : MongoDB, Postgres, Redshift and Snowflake.
Desired experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools : Argo, Airflow, etc
Must have Experience with Cloud ETL Tools : Boomi, Matillion, etc.
Programming experience in Python or Go
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions.
Able to identify opportunities for improving data processing - strong process improvement skills.
Basic Linux skills (, bash scripts)
Experience of working in an Agile environment is desired
Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data’ data stores
Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets (JSON, Binary, CSV, AVRO, etc.)
Basic understanding of Regulations like GDPR, CCPA and managing PII data.
Experience with implementing data security and role based access controls.
Strong collaboration skills - both within the team and outside. Understands that we can achieve more as a team.
Ability to understand big-picture while being very detail oriented.
Always curious to learn and grow their knowledge. Comfortable with ambiguity.
Experience with driving user adoption, communicating and training users. Passionate, yet patient.
Experience working with end users to understand their needs and interpret business requirements into technical requirements for the platform.
