This role will be responsible of the patching requirements for all Windows and UNIX based Servers within the client environment, performing troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
Work with 3rd party vendors, subcontractors and support teams to effectively support the environment and achieve SLAs.
Maintain service availability in excess of 99.5%
Create and maintain relevant patching support documentation.
Adhere to change control create and implement changes as required to maintain the environment and ensure stability of the Windows and UNIX Server environment.
Assist with projects as required.
Some projects may require after hour work.
Key responsibilities include
The Patching Coordinator is the single point of contact and accountability for the Patch Management Service to the account and delivery including :
Maintain the UNIX / Wintel Patch levels of the servers to N and N-1 to meet compliance and minimize vulnerability of systems.
Highlight concerns to Sabre / DXC Management if the goal is not achieved
Prepare quarterly / monthly patching schedule for servers in scope.
Discuss with system owners / stakeholders to understand their systems concerns and agree for outage / maintenance window.
Capture all required information to create changes and executions.
Get changes created from UNIX Engineering / Wintel Capability Teams and submitted within lead time.
Get approvals from functional and CAB team in tool (SNOW / SM9).
Communicate with stakeholders for scheduled changes at agreed frequency.
Open virtual rooms / bridge and get engage required stakeholders.
Ensure and guide checkout team to complete proper checkouts before patching / post patching.
During incidents, engage required teams in triage and conclude for next steps / resolutions.
Maintain all conversation logs post changes and use in lessons learned.
Having weekly meeting with stakeholder.
Expected Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
ITIL Foundation Certificate v3 is a plus.
SOFT SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
3 8 years relevant business experience
Multicultural and x-country experience desired
Ability to build and manage strong customer relationship at the senior level
Strong influence and negotiation skill
Ability to apply business management, financial concepts and contracts knowledge to analyze business needs and develop recommendations
Ability to prepare clear, concise and persuasive communications for multiple audiences, including demonstrating effective writing, presentation skills, listening actively
Leadership ability to build and manage a cross cultural, cross tower and cross business team for effective and efficient customer support
Ability to proactively and effectively manage risk on medium to high risk projects
Develops and consistently applies Quality and Continuous Improvement Plans
Crisis and conflict management
Ability to work independently with accuracy and minimum supervision
Solid knowledge of standards and best practices.
Knowledge of relevant government regulations and ability to maintain compliance to such regulations.
Excellent command of English is crucial. Good verbal and written skills.
